    What is says on the tin, share the love for your favourite fighting games!

    Absoloutely fabulous game from Sunsoft that hit the Neo Geo in '96. It's nowhere near as hardcore as most of the other fighting games of it's time, but that's probably why I like it so much. Great combo's, humor by the truckload, and full of weird and awesome stuff like;

    AND BONUS KUN!

    It also hit the Saturn in Japan, so liek, awesome.

    Share your fighting game love. Include pictures and other stuff too!

    I've loved a lot of fighting game series over the years. I'll dispense with the usuals, Street Fighter 2 and Alpha, Mortal Kombat, Smash Bros, and get to one that's vastly unappreciated.

    Killer Instinct. When it was Rare and Nintendo they put out hit games constantly, ever since Rare got in bed with Microsoft it's been lame updates and few standouts, but for some reason this franchise has sat idle. In it's time it was one of the best looking fighters around and some clever use of full motion video for versus screens and stage backgrounds gave it an awesome atmosphere. I remember having it for the Super Nintendo, I'd practice a combo with Orchid all day that dropped half the health of an opponent, then clean house at the arcade with it. The cartridge is still in my SNES as I type this, it hasn't left the system since I reclaimed it from a friend's house after his hamster peed on it.

    If were getting onto B and C list titles, then SNES Tournament Fighters needs bigging up.

    Fast pace, solid combing, decent variety in play styles and a meter system which heavily promoted offensive play. Much better then both Clayfighter and Killer Instinct IMO.

    So your not going to get this thread locked by posting every minuite detail of your fights and swearing at people who don't like it?

    My issue with Tournament Fighters is that in one player, you pretty much had to build up your super attack to do any damage to the opponent since the computer seems to have "block everything" as the default AI.

    Otherwise, I generally like fighters that were great two player, but also had content if you were going solo. Street Fighter Alpha 3 goes down as my favorite fighter ever. The home versions had some 50 plus fighters, all with slightly varied story through the arcade mode, along with world tour mode that let you level up any given character.

    For 3D, I generally liked the Soul Calibers, though the last didn't appeal to me as much as they used to. I do enjoy Virtua Fighters, though the early ones were devoid of one player content.
