I'm looking for this online comic strip: There was this comicstrip done by one of these guys who do online comicstrips that came out early last year. It was a non-TF comic strip. The comic strip was black and white (line art) showing two modern kids on a swing in a playground. One of them says something like "Oh no look it's that weirdo Daniel Witwicky." Then Daniel comes in dressed like he did from TF:TM. He starts saying how he is dressed in "modern" clothing and who Hot Rod is a current car model etc. The joke of course is that the movie took place in 2005 and this comic strip which came out in 2005 was showing how different everything turned. So did any of you guys see this comicstrip online. I could have sworn that this comicstrip was mentioned in the front page of tfw2005 (then again it could have been transfandom). I thought I had saved a copy of it or bookmarked it but I couldn't find anything. So if anybody remembers the address or location of this strip I'd be very much appreciated.
I remember seeing it, but I don't remember where. May have been shortpacked. I do remember thinking how lame the joke was because Hot Rod was not supposed to be a 2005 model earth car. He was a cybertronian mode just like the female autobots of season 2... **EDIT** Went and searched it for ya... http://www.shortpacked.com/d/20050511.html
Yeah, it may be lame, but all in all you gotta love Shortpacked. I see so few other strips out there referencing TFs at all. Good stuff, for the most part.
Well, the reason why Shortpacked! is frequently referencing Transformers is because the artish is (DUH!) a Transformers fan... He can be usually found posting at the Allspark, but I think he's also still lurking here.
No, it's "breathe in space". http://www.shortpacked.com/d/20050131.html http://www.shortpacked.com/d/20050930.html
Walky has his moments, but all in all Shortpacked isn't a fan favorite of mine. I give him credit though, he's willing to go places no one else is.
Thanks man, but if you look up you'll see I already provided that link in the 3rd post in this thread. Good job going and finding it all on your own even though it wasn't neccessary.
But then again, most things become tired at some point and only need to be re-invigorated (the dark ages of TFs anyone?, ie. the "toy gap"). At least he's got a comic. Me? I'm too damn busy to do anything except, apparently, post my comments on this site. Heh. Batman. Love the guy, but sometimes.....
