As much as I want to get the figure, its not worth it for me at this point. Between the online issues, having issues finding it in stores, and now a price hike, I'm much better off just spending the money on other stuff.

I mean yes is it shitty? Of course, but it's TRUs, that's part of the territory. Now if they changed the price on the pre-orders then that's worthy of an outrage.

whatever happend to that law that requires stores selling things for more than MSRP to clearly state they are doing so and what the MSRP actually is? I bet if that law were still in effect TRU woudln't dare do that as yes while we know its supposed to be $99.99, not everyone who sees it on shelves this coming holiday season (i think we are supposed to see it in larger quantities starting in november) will know they are getting the 20% markup.

 

Are people actually surprised? TRU has done this with every other MP figure they've had as an exclusive - selling it for one price, then increasing the price after the figure has been out for a bit. Hell, I think it was only last month that this happened for MP TC, with the price going from $69.99 to $74.99 after the figure was out for a few weeks.

My TRU is a bump up TRU with $87 dollar thundercrackers, $18 dollar TF deluxes and a $28.99 NECA Gordon Freeman. I expect Prime to be at least $150 if I see him.

I'm too broke for high end stuff at the moment so I was probably gonna pass anyway, so whatevs. Still kinda sucky though.

Soooo glad I got it with a 20% off coupon for $80 a few weeks ago.

It should be easier to find now, though. No soccer mom is gonna drop $120 on that thing.
