looking really good, but griping about the weakness/thinness of the waist and the hugeness of the chest, they aren't working well together imo.

Also, I can kinda see how you have groove fit into a holder kinda for his gestalt spot, not truly digging that also, though it seems to work, when it's all apart, there will be more kibble than robots, right?

Yeah, it was a problem with Menasor, but Moe's posting this with hopes for feedback, so I am feeding back.

Menasor had similar connections for the cars on the arms, but the lower legs were nothing but bots. It appears in these photos that groove fits into a leg.
I've taken many ideas from the feedback on Menasor, and although a success, the next one will look 10x better due to the feedback.

Speaking of which, how is your kitbash coming? still dying to see one of your finished projects seeing you have a very vocal position on all the TF kitbash forums, I anticipate seeing...rather than hearing.

i agree with F_R, although i think it will look great either way. the way it is now, reminds me of the cartoon, which is great.

the end product looks really good. I personally don't mind kibble and such, I care more about how the big guy is going to look. In this case, I think he looks like Defensor should. I think my only comment would be the saturation of blue on him. Maybe some fine detailing would add to the piece.

Can you take a size comparison pic with him standing next to your Dev?

I was just asking about Menasor, since you criticised this Defensor about something your Menasor has to a larger extent. It wasn't meant as an offense against you.

 

You mean the first time anyone has tried making a Defensor on Radicons? If so, Defstar made one. F_R is in the process of making one as well. I also know of a few people that had it in the planning phase.

 

Yeah... i got one here about 80%, I know JAF's got an unbelievable one also coming soon too.

So much modding on mine, I get frustrated with it. I strive to making each gestalt more improved than the last, so that usually means more work.

I think a waist plate(s) will work and complement the one on his chest nicely. Also, it looks like Defensor could use some red in between.

 

I've seen some RID ones, not a lot of Defensors out there yet i guess.

Defstar's was awesome, and I was surprised to not remember a thread on it when I saw him on the ebay.

 

Found defstars, and both were great renditions. I really like how you tied it together with that paint job Moe. I can't wait to see it finished though, since they're a little matte right now. You really made this thing work.

whoa. i've never seen Defstar's Devy before. I always thought it was Ptitvite who came up with that formula, while the date shows it was Defstar.

 

This is looking sweet, dude. I really do think he needs a waste-belt, but aside from that I don't see much that can be improved. I really like what you did for his flamethrowers, I was thinking about something similar, but extending the barrels is great.

Can't wait for Inferno to come out so I can stop sitting on this and actually get to work. Your's is certainly top-notch so far.
