Honestly. After 2002's failed Nemesis I'm itching for a new Trek.

While I'm not a Star Trek fan, I think that looks pretty cool. I might see the movie, but, only if there aren't any movies I'm more interested in seeing at the time.

    Hawt.

Is it just me or are the nessels a bit closer to the dish than the previous models of the Enterprise? Also looks like there are turbines in them.

    Very interesting.

I think the turbine things are the inner mechanics that make the bussard collectors (red glowy things) spin, like they did on the original Enterprise model. I like the fact that they went with the motion picture era font and the aztec hull plating, rather than leaving it smooth like the original design.

What's funny is - I know they put the Enterprise' name there for the benefit of the audience, but logically, why would you paint the name on the hull before the hull is even completed ;)

    Very cool.

I'm a little trepidatious about this one on account of the casting...but that's a badass looking Enterprise.

    Pretty cool for a teaser.

Does Sylar really wear glasses irl, or is it more of a Lisa Loeb kinda thing?

If they are different, I don't think that its unreasonable considering that the ship was 20 years old by the time Kirk got it and that the Movie-era refit showed that changing the nacelles and positioning isn't out of the question.

It looks real. ALL of the ships from Star Trek have looked like crappy models. I dont even like Star Trek, but Im interested in this film.

totally badass. the nacelles do look closer to the saucer than before, but then it just might be a perspective thing since you're looking low and flat over the saucer. i'm stoked, i've been a trek fan for ages, and i have high hopes for this. hope JJ does it right (at the very least, he's not redesigning the Enterprise)
