8th January 2020 marks the 15 years since the first airing of Transformers: Cybertron, or at least it's original Japanese version as Galaxy Force.

This was the first TF show I ever watched and most likely my introduction to the overall franchise. Yes, well over a year before the first live-action movie.

While I understand in terms of retrospective it seeming average to most people, and it's method of animation not the most well-blended. But I'll never forget its nostalgic factor to me.

Plus, it has imo one of, if not, the most kick-arse rendition of the classic TF theme.

How about you fellas? Has the series grown on you? Has it been a long while since you last seen it?

To save them and the galaxy, we must find the four Cyber Planet Keys before the Decepticons can use them for evil...

I had a lot of fun with this show. The human cast was great, the TFs were many & varied, and the locales kept changing often enough to keep things from ever looking visually stagnant (well... maybe they spent a leeeetle too long on Velocitron. Or maybe the place needed more than roads to be a speed planet).

It had a lot of good energy. Everything was very flashy & powerful & energetic. It was fun. And it may have one of the best endings of a TF show ever. A full episode dedicated to the epilogue! No other TF show has done that. It really gave me the sense that there were plenty more adventures they were about to have even though they’d already beat Galvatron & all the main threats.

Genuinely my 2nd favourite series in the franchise after Beast Wars. I really don't think I'd have gotten hardcore into collecting without how creative and inspired the Cybertron line was.

I also loved its cast of characters, and it's english dub voice cast. Yeah the dub has its issues (mainly the first two episodes being chopped and spliced together to fill in a 22 minute run time) but it's also in some ways better than Galaxy Force's especially with concepts like the Omega Frequency or talking during the stock footage transformations. I miss the Vancouver VA's working on Transformers, such an amazing talent pool of voice actors.

Oh man, Cybertron. When I was like 7 or 8 getting ready for school at 6 am, that was what was always on TV. Easily one of my favorite series, and the Leader Optimus from that line is still my all-time favorite Optimus figure.

God. I haven't watched Cybertron in a while, but I do remember loving it. An absolutely phenomenal toyline, and I've still got all the maps, too. :D

I loved those maps. There was something really inspired about Cybertron. It felt like they were going all out for it.

    15 years? God I’m old!

This was the best show I ever watched as a kid and I still love it. It was the first series I watched all the way through. It helped me through bad times and it had some great laughs, like Jetfire’s fear of needles and the talking over stock footage. So much fun!
