Check out this dummy! it is great how he wants $15000 but does not know the names of every figure, but he does know that they are extremely rare? I am curious is the $15000 dollars or Yen lol.... http://cgi.ebay.com/15-Vintage-1980...oryZ4150QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
This dude is a freaking ****. lol He has a couple hundred dollars worth at best. Hard telling what shape they are in too. GREAT find, I am sure someone will snap that up at such a steal. This is one of the funniest so far, thanks Backstop, you made my night.
lol, its funny how in his pictures of the items 1/4 of it is the figure and 3/4 is his blinds in the backround. is it that hard to take a picture of them or something? cant even see detail or anything about it XP
Check out the date stamps on some of the items. 1980? Nice one, mate. What amazes me more is that he has three "Unknown Figures" listed (Fastlane, Cloudraker and Scattershot, I think), yet he's still charging $1'000 each for them. It's like "Gee, I have no idea who this guy is, but he must be worth a fortune!" PS. Can someone explain what he means by this sentence: "WITH ALL THE VOLATILITY IN THE STOCK MARKET, THESE ITEMS ARE THE PERFECT INVESTMENT." Is the market about to burst into flames?
Yep hes one of those ******s who finds an armless jazz at the back of the cupboard and thinks they can retire on the auction proceeds because his mate told him they are rare, what a tool!
I think I should email him and ask it he would accept a offer of $0.15 as if he is such a dummy that he can high ball and ask $15000 then I can low ball and offer $0.15. Just to see what his reaction would be since these are such rare items!
Maybe it's just me, but it seems like Canadian sellers are the ones who try crap like this the most. Nine times out of ten somebody will post a ludicrous auction like this, and it's a Canadian seller. Why is that?
I thought about emailing him and asking if he had any idea that his lot was worth 2-3 hundred (maybe...) But im just gonna go back to work
There was a G2 Laser Rod figure listed a few weeks back that the seller wanted $20,000 for. I love the ignorant seller mentality of "It's a Transformer! It must be Rare! I heard these things are worth THOUSANDS!!!!!". I was doing my usual Ebaying the other night, and I came across an auction titled "Very Rare Dreadwing RED HOT!!!". It had a starting bid of $25, and ended in a half hour. I started getting excited thinking a G1 Dreadwing had slipped under the radar, and I might be able to land one fairly cheap. Alas, I clicked the auction, and someone was trying to sell the movie drone Dreadwing for $25, then wanted $10 for shipping. The same one that every Wal-Mart in America has about 50 of, for $9.99; this dufus was trying to sell for $25.
What's wrong with that, exactly? The copyright dates are based on the mold. Some of the first-run TFs have copyrights earlier than 1984 because the molds were in use in the Diaclone line. As another example, the G2 Combaticons sitting on my desk are stamped 1986, despite being released in the early 90s. Looks like I'll be passing on this auction, though.
Man! What a deal! If only I hadn't purchased that super rare classic hot rod transformer last week!! Curses!!
At least the man had the good grace to offer free shipping. Imagine listing the auction for $15'000, plus another few grand for shipping.
woo Majority of folks on here must be sitting on millions.... millions I tell ya!! I did see that auction.. had a chuckle to myself and decided against putting in a bid!
He's most likely having financial problems since he has no idea about the actual values of objects. "Wow! Kleenex for only $50! Only used once! What a steal!" He'd suck at 'The Price is Right'.
