    :jawdropper: :jawdropper: :jawdropper:  holy smokes!!

i usually prefer seeing collections out of the box vs mib, but..... your collection is just incredible. this is the standard of how misb pics should be, just an awesome wall of win.

    Awesome collection.

Did you get most of it already AFA'd, or do you buy MISB and then send them off to be AFA'd?

This is the kind of collection I want someday . . . I admire your work.

How long did it take you to collect all of 'em?

Red Leader: I started collecting sealed AFA items and focusing on those around Feb. 08. Technically you could say it took my whole life to build this collection. I kept my childhood toys and collected toys all these years. Last year I decided I had too much clutter and wanted to focus my collection down to something more compact that I could be proud of. I sold various collectibles on eBay during that time and kept reinvesting in sealed G1 toys. Selling on eBay got tedious but my love of Transformers kept me motivated!

jamiebrayley: I do like the prerubs quite a bit. I consider other things as well on what I collect such as: rarity, grade, tape seal, variations. If the rubsign is not right in front of my face it doesn't bother me near as much. For instance on the starscream I would not mind a tape sealed 85 w/ high subs, but a 90 makes up for it :)  One toy I do not like the rubsign on is Soundwave. He just looks lame with a big black blob on his chest instead of a logo.

Magnus' Mate: I do have some loose figures I kept for sentimental enjoyment. I also have most of the Henkei Universe figures plus the quintessons, sharkticons and random loose G1 figures I like. I used to have one of everything G1 from series one to AM. Most were MIB. I had to make a decision as to what was my focus and more important to me though as I know I can't have it all. Space is also an issue. If I have everything in a box and can't enjoy it, then why have it?

Easterling Capt: As I have said before and I will say it again. I am very fortunate. :)  I have a job that pays me well which I enjoy! I made sacrifices, was responsible, and studied instead of partying back then so I can enjoy life later. This is an example of the payoff for hard work!

Justamaze: LOL! Amazingly enough in todays society I do own my collection. I paid for it by selling all my other collectibles and have a job that supports my habit!

Agent-GHQ: I do have extras of some things I am more fond of. The loose toys clutter my computer desk for when I am bored! :)  I did have a complete loose collection of all the G1 toys but found that I rarely touched the stuff. I tried displaying it vs. the sealed stuff I have and I personally enjoy the sealed items more. There is only so much room for everything and only so much money, so I chose to focus on sealed toys!

Peter North: It is true! I was lollygagging and procrastinating! Work, lifting, going out, laundry, buying more toys... pretty much everything else was higher in priority! Thanks for the sweet toys I got from you! I have this gentleman here to thank along with others for helping me get some of the great items I have!

Juise: Some items I purchased already graded. I would say over half were ungraded and I sent them in myself. If I wait around for others to sell their graded pieces I could be waiting forever! I would say roughly 90 were ungraded. I started grading my stuff finally this December after I got over the fear of sending off my stuff and not seeing it for a month or two.

At some point I may try to post the grades of the toys if people are interested. Not sure how much detail you guys would want on that or if you all even care. Either way is fine with me! Thanks for all the kind words and I will keep answering questions as they come and posting pics of stuff as I get it in!

There is a girl on this site that might be able to help you find the rest of the ones you are looking for. I think her TFW name is PeterNorth:)

Oh man, that is awesome. It's nice to see all the AFA collectors finally showing their pride and joy. I was interested in knowing some of the grades on your pieces.
Have you ever seen a sealed sandstorm?
