I think Emgo did a review of the other set. I don't recall him mentioning a price but, and this might sound weird, the fact that the new pieces were painted silver instead of trying to match the plastic on the original made this one a pass for me.

I'm waiting for DNA as well. I've only gotten a couple of their upgrade kits but they've all been pretty good so far with only one or two minor issues each. SS Megatron front wings keep coming off and back wings don't stay flush in vehicle mode, Grimlock's weapons don't really store on his back and keep falling off, MPM Ironhide's bracket won't stay pegged in vehicle mode and SS Ironhide...actually, that one might not have any issues for me. But most of these issues are just storage when not in use and I can...not store them there.

Finally got Part 2 of this kit in hand today. I like it! The guns are much better than the others and attach in a clever way. Kinda wish they redid the other DOTM weapons, particularly the shield, to this standard.
