anyway, they did a great job repainting this guy. the spiders were never appealing to me at all, but this guy looks really nice.

I have no clue. I think they're both great. Just got both the original Japanese Trance and Black Widow figures... I'm totally looking forward to Tarantulus.

 

The green could be a little thicker and Darker, I was also hoping to see the purple painted on instead of transparent plastic, but meh. This looks cooler than the original and I will get him. The Predicon symbol on his butt is nice too  

 

Too bad the string isn't blue like on the show. Still, it's pretty cool.

 

hmm, the original had more show acc legs with them being grey, i might get one so i have original, reissue and tm

 

I love Tarantulus.

I like the new name better. It's pretty much just as stupid as the old name, but now at least now it doesn't look like the plural for tarantula.

Remember this, everyone: When you get him, swap his hands to the opposite sides. This way, he'll have hands facing the correct way AND get elbows, too.

 

Tarantulas rocks! I have the original but there's nothin like openin' a fresh new Tarantulas...

 

Not bad although the green they used on the arms and legs is pretty meh, kinda kills it a bit for me.

Will probably still pick this up as its like the only BW toy I don’t actually own although I might be on the lookout for an original Japanese version instead as there’s still something about that paint scheme that rubs me the wrong way.

 

Coolness. Looking forward to getting him. Honestly looking forward to getting all the beasties. I'm so glad they're getting rereleased so I can get them because I don't own too many Beast Wars figs, not only that, but more show accurate this time around
