I have 2 of each. I got them when they first came out. They are pretty decent. But the tolerances on the joints are not fantastic. Some are too loose (fixed with some Kiki). Some are too tight (sorta fixed with some near boiling water and working the joint). Especially ball joints. The ball joints on the large weapons of the VP-03 are not round and as a result, will not stay where you point them. They pop to odd angles based on the off-round. I had to build new joints from a modeling options set. The hip joints on the VP-02 are a bit sus as well. On both of mine, the left hip will not hold. You move the leg and they just fall off. Both of them. Sorta solved that with a bit of Kiki. They hold now but I can't move them that much. Also the VP-02 Long arms the joints are trash and just flop around. Took a fair amount of Kiki to address that. I also removed all the text based tampos as I didn't feel they fit with Diaclone. Isopropal didn't work for that and I had to wet sand them off with some very fine sandpaper. Can only tell if you look REALLY close as those spots are slightly more matte now. I could fix that with a little gloss coat or with a polishing stick. But it doesn't bother me. Only VP-02 comes with a pilot. They are decent for non-takara. No idea what the "D" ring on the top of VP-03 is for. Either folded in or folded out, it leaves a pretty substantial hole in the top of the mech. I used a lot of the spare limb parts to convert all my KO power suits to manuver suits. Not a bad set if you can get your hands on it. But they are VERY long since gone from retail. Back in the day, I paid about $30 each from ShowZ. Not sure what they are going for now. But, I wouldn't pay any more than that.

Do you think the resulting quality was one of the reasons the product series folded? I don't know the history behind the disappearance of this series. I remember being especially interested in the DA-19 analogue that they did at the end that was supposed to be phase one of what I later realized was a Big Powered analogue combiner. I almost jumped in on it and Diaclone at that time.

But then it released with a "thud" and nothing more came of it. It's RAMPANTLY available from dropshippers on AliExpress, as a KO of a KO I'm assuming?

Naw... I think it was just lack of interest. These all came out before diaclone really exploded post covid. But who really knows. All this 3rd party and ko stuff is usually people doing things on their own time or under the radar. They often get regular jobs or loose access to using factory assets or just plain burn out or run out of money. Just how it is. Flash in the pan and its gone.

I think what’s available is just unsold stock from the initial release… there’s a lot of original molding so it isn’t really a KO… more of a 3P release that was inspired by Big Powered’s legs.

Actually one of the few 1:60 scaled stuff that I didn’t get. The scale just seems off for the vehicle mode.

Just didn’t sell well enough to justify the other parts getting made I would be my guess

And, if I remember correctly, when that truck (vp-01?) came out, it was really expensive for what it was. Like almost $100. For a friggn leg of a combiner. At that time, I had just bought Big Powered Destroyer for less than $250 retail from HLJ (I want to say less than $200 but I'd have to check my records) and later VMax Shadow $98 from TFSource. $100 for just a leg of a combiner we may never see completed was a hard pill to swallow back then.

For them particularly it was compounded by hearsay of the anti-KO campaign by the Shanghai Police which eventually led to the Weijiang shutdown. They weren't making complete KOs but everyone knew they were MFT. I believe the VP people branched off to Forging Soul and distanced themselves completely from MFT who went on that 2~3 year long hiatus.

Yeah the Wandering Earth truck it's supposed to look like was much larger. The cab area was supposed to be as spacious as Ground Dion's bridge/Command Shuttle.

They look a little cartoony but nice to see other options.

I had seen a variant of these even MORE loud on one of the Booth creator shops. There's also a dropshipper version that I believe are just waterslides to be applied over the default steel sheets as well.

Once advantage I see with the ones @Boknight showed (aside from availability) is that they appear to be precut?

Ooh, is there a link to Booyh and/or Feite sticker sheets? I like the idea of mixing and matching.

(There's also some sets over at Kicks generation, though I'm not sure if that's their origin; larger stickers are pre-cut, smaller ones are not: Diaclone 3rd party DA-95 Robot Base Magnetic Stickers)

First product from Feite in a long while. Glad they are getting back into the add-on creator space.

This is also the set I see all over AliExpress.

    Here's another version/alternative from Booth;

    DIA3MM マグネットデコステッカー (プレカットVER) - ダイア3ミリ - BOOTH

Although after comparing, it seems to be the same set you linked, too. Schwoops!

Assuming I ever get my current Waruder spaceship project done n dusted, maybe i should look into building an alternative to Gigantor or something..

We had a user who built his own GRB out of TF T30 Metroplex (look back in the past pages of this thread.) So definitely look into it.

Something that can bridge the design space between vintage and modern Waruder via Gigantor DIY would be epic.

I wonder how a modified titan Nemesis would look, given a waruder-over?
