I'd love to know the modification process they did on these kits to make them compatible!

These images may or may not help shed some light on the process.

This one.... this one is making my enthusiasm increase. Some designs...they just grab you immediately.

You can see that the torso parts are cut up in this pic

While this pic's has extra parts scratch built from styrene plates.

Thanks for the help folks; looks like this might be pretty achievable with some of the materials I've got - I'll just need the 30mm kit!

At the very least creating a hole big enough for a 1/60 pilot should be achievable. If you have a rotary tool ("dremel") ....ppppfffftt... nothing should stop you. ABS or Styrene sheet with the appropriate adhesive would be the cherry on top. I try to be *extremely* selective about which toys i buy because i hate shelf queens. I need to be sure i'm going to actually put my hands on the toy and interact with it.

The Baskyrotto? I'm getting this lol. It's chunky. It's angular. It's armored. It's traditional.

It really looks like a walking tank *chefs kiss*

I'm legitimately slightly giddy about it at the moment.

For those of you who want another alternate head option for your Diaclone Tactical Mover....

I've got a fair amount of styrene spares (flat sheets, dowel and tubes); reinforcing/ adapting a Baskyrottweiler-whatevertheheck to fit a Diaclone core should be alright to do..

    Not so fast !

I came across this information and it looks like , at the very least, this specific truck scales well with 1/60 figures along with the CN171 despite it being listed / presented as 1:144 on the Amazon site. So , at the very least, 2 of the trucks on the listing are 1/60 action figure compatible. I'm willing to bet the other 2 trucks are as well now.

Viewed from the back, pictures are a bit misleading… these are supposed to be huge trucks with giant trailers… if you check out the ladder next to the front cab and the “cockpit” then the scale difference becomes more apparent… the dianauts will look big climbing the ladder… but still I agree with you that the actual item scales better than expected.

Yeah that works surprisingly well especially if you ignore the ladders. Before you pick it up for customsing though, do note that VP01 Mammoth's cab was sculpted to look like the same truck, also scaled down, but with a functional 1/60 seat.

If i was forced to choose i'd choose the Mammoth personally. The front end is not only nice as a stand alone quasi rover (and i do like 1/60 all terrain rovers) but it already has the seat ready made.

If one has time on their hands though....performing surgery on the die cast trucks would be worth the multi seat cab reward.

If you like mostly modern scenery in your play, display, or photos as I do. (With current lore continuity approximately in the 2040s, only 20 years away during a war, in my mind, for most citizens, the future tech is slow in the coming.) I found this set out in the wild today at a Big Lots for ~$10. The playset itself is mediocre.

    1000004935.jpg 1000004938.jpg

The truck is definitely smaller scale than even 1/64, but the building and people were in scale with the American Diorama diecast figures, so I think this is a cool add. I just put the truck up on a thin LEGO for the photo to give an allusion of it being bigger. As with most sets like these, the angle, lighting, and putting in some world building props brings it to life.

    1000004930.jpg

Door to interior of shop does open with slide at the top, and a figure could be placed inside. I am considering adding steelsheet flooring to aid in this... The loading bay door is spring loaded and will pop open revealing the figure with the handtruck attached inside when something backs in and hits the speed bump.

The raised "road" format means that photos have to crop around it... (I wish they had included a ramp or two for cars to get up on the road, but I guess they just want to sell more sets. Most of the sets in this series don't look that good to me, but I may get another if the price is right. My Big Lots just had this set in stock. I glanced at Amazon.com and they are way overpriced on any that interest me, at the moment. )

The new / 2nd Atlas trailer has been released. This trailer shows far more close ups of the (Diaclone) Power Suits.

I showed my wife the trailer and she was all "did they make a movie about your little robot suits?"

Anyway, now she's convinced that Jennifer Lopez is a closet Diaclone fan.
