1/6(12inches) - Armored Titan if your a fan of shingeki no kyojin you already know this hehe. but it has a long way to go detailing ang resculpting. -base figure TTM muscular body -fully sculpted front back body
I hate to criticize but I think the pecks need to be a bit bigger in the top. And you need shoulder blades. Don't get me wrong you did a amazing job just the back is off.
No problem man it still need more detailing, all criticism are welcome. but I think its the right pecks already. if watch closely on the anime and the original sketch of the artist the chest part is not that big. We already make it bigger .
If anything the pecs need to be smaller, haha! Looking good though, looking forward to the finished paint job!
Yo man, I just got into this anime and that thing is starting to look pretty beast already. Can't wait to see it finished!
Yeah we are still thinking but we are going to leave it this way since its need more detailing like lining and paint etc, it will be look small for sure. its super sculpey WE are planning to make Eren 2nd version since our version is to realistic for eren. and we really like the concept of eren have the muscle tone rather than the flesh tone only. Anyway will upload more picture soon possibly some wips before putting some paint .
When you use the super sculpey, to keep the details and not damage them with nicks/fingerprints/depressions while handling/sculpting the figure, do you bake it every so often and then add on more clay for each new area you sculpt? How do you avoid messing up previously done areas while handling the piece?
Yup thats the idea at first. We use muscle tone first then applied the armored bone but it looks same since we copied it on the original drawings of the artist.. Its really hard to tell if you did a great job on curing the clay sometimes if its too hot it became brittle. it really depends its just trial and error since every clay that you apply is different thickness and volume etc. Since we don't have an oven so we use heat gun. About the finger print you really need tools and we uses sand paper 1000grit. About sculpting you need a light hand and lots of time and patience just to put it together. It really depend on what kind of an artist you are if your good at dry sculpting or wet sculpting it really depends... Hope it helps you out and answer your questions.
What color of sculpey do you use? Is it the translucent flesh color? Have you ever worked with sculpey firm? How is that?
Yup I already work on it for me its not much of a difference, SSF is much harder than SS. they say its much easier to work on it since its not that soft than SS that can easily mess up things. Anyway, you can mix them up as well . There is one color only here in my country its the flesh one for SS and grey for SSF and it depends on availability. if your in a budget you can use epoxy clay that you see on hardware stores.
NICE! You really captured the look very well! I think the eyes need a little bit of work, but everything else looks pretty damn good!
Don't worry this is just a 1st paint. The eyes will be fixed soon. and its just plain white since he doesnt have anye eyeballs. hehe. thanks for the liking.
