So I received my 1/48 fast pack a few days ago, and one part I cannot figure out. Just how are you supposed to connect the small white brace to the upper back panel? The instructions don't help at all. Sorry I can't provide visual evidence, no camera and all...

Also, I've never understood the purpose of the tiny fin that pokes through the upper back panel...

 

Are you talking about the backpack hook? If so don't connect it, it's been known to break. Um, if not, then I'm not sure.

 

I'm talking about the extra white piece which comes with the fast pack.

Yeah, I had trouble figuring out how to put that piece in. Place it like it is in the picture here and just press down until it's snuggly in place. You might have to fiddle with the pieces a little to get them to fit, but it's pretty simple.

 

Thanks Cdn, I thought that's what they were going for. What was giving me trouble was I didn't know that you could get the upper back panel past those hardstops that make it flush for fighter mode... takes some wiggling.

Now I see why I was confused...I was too cheap to buy fast packs for my 1/48 VF-1S   .

 

Believe me, they're worth EVERY penny. They look so much better with the fastpacks.
