Need a little help - I'm thinking of making a collage of Transformers and action figures and since most Marvel Legends, Black Series, etc are 1/12th scale it would call for a 1/12th scale G1 Transformer but are there any?

Optimus would be a stand out choice or even a Bumblebee in Sunbow's scale defying scale would suffice. (Scale defying meaning this by the way)

Doesn't even need to transform. I thought the new RED Bumblebee would be the answer but apparently those things are even shorter then a Marvel Legend.

I imagine other members here have done this yes? So any tips would be appreciated. Thanks.

Don't worry too much about scale because it always changed in Sunbow anyways. As long at the character is noticeably bigger than a marvel legends it will look right.

On the MP side MP44 Optimus would probably look good. Otherwise, generations metro plex stands out to me

I don't have any non Transformers figures but I'd imagine figures without vehicle modes would be your best bet.

Maybe Pretender shells. The alien or beast shells.

Agreed. I'm thinking my best bet would be a G1 Bumblebee that's maybe 10 inches tall?
That seems about in scale with how tall he looked in episodes like Roll For It or the above referenced Dinobot Island. But so far no luck in finding him in that size.

Those Toys Alliance figures of Megatron and Optimus clocked it at around 18" so they'd probably look good with Marvel Legends. They're fairly affordable for what they are and have a lot of poseability.

The Kingdom Beast Wars figures would be a bit below 1/12 scale.

I haven't seen them side by side but the Ocular Max Cassetticons (the ones that turn into cassette-size tapes, as opposed to microcassettes) might be 1/12 scale in robot mode.

Teeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeechnically Universe Treadbolt is in 1/12 scale since as a Micromaster, he's the height of a human and his jet mode is supposed to be small but I suspect that's no helpful.

I'm hoping to find something from G1 so Beast Wars is out sadly but the cassettes might work. Did they make a Rumble/Frenzy? I could only find a thread for Laserbeak/Buzzsaw.

EDIT: Found them on TFSource. Sadly they're listed as 5.3 inches making them smaller then a Marvel Legends. Sigh. Maybe someday someone will make a OS MP-45. :(

For Transformers, there´s nothing in the 1:12 scale or close to it

Years ago, there was the offbrand Roadbots from Happywell, on different scales, including 1:12

As you can see in the following photos, they are enormous, so the closest thing could be Lewin Atlas

So it's a few years later -- are there *any* official Transformers with 1/12 scale alt modes?

Alt modes? If you mean cars and such then you can probably find a model kit that fits the bill.
But I still haven't found any 1/12th scale bots except for that one Bumblebee Super7 made but it's basically a brick. No poseability at all

Maybe one of the leader+ sized Bumblebee toys they made for the movies or recent cartoons. It wouldn't be strictly 1/12, but probably close. After seeing that 1/12 Figuarts-scale transforming car for Akibaranger made me realize that transformers at that scale all have to be pretty huge.

The Studio Series Junkions are probably decently close too in alt mode. Some of the deluxe motorcycles like Animated Prowl might work too, at least loosely.
