I guess my thought was that Jetfire was BIG but pretty simple. Rodimus was complex but on the smaller side. My guess is that Super Armada OP will land somewhere in the middle. The thing I've loved about Commander class is that it out of all of the size classes feels more like A Budget rather than a Size Class.

This looks beautiful now they have to do it! A no brainer Selects release!

They were claiming this to be real? I thought it was an obvious digibash to show how an Armada Thrust from the mold would look. Honestly not bad.

Let's not forget that Cutthroat was also displayed with Wildfly's head.

The best part is the implication that the budget will allow for Thrust's minicon!

skyquake....no changes from the leak. looks pretty good. wish he had some sort of hip flaps/skirts etc in bot mode. his jet mode looks great. something about the bulkiness of it and the way the legs tranform remind me of a legioss/alpha fighter, and thats a good thing. the bot mode is also a bit flat in the torso but its not a bad look i guess. biggest gripe (which i will overlook) i have is the hips area looks kinda empty and unfinished. not going to stop me from getting it. question is, will this be popular? should i preorder or hope for discounts later on? haha.

shrapnel....is an instant PO x 2. I plan to have these WFC/CHUG/Legacy scale insecticons as a swarm of more newly hatched insecticon clones and have my MP scaled ones be the "primary" or "real" ones. maybe i should get more than 2, but why do i have a bad feeling now that 2/3 are out that the 3rd will go a different direction and give us a wrong alt mode? (i wish i was joking!)

twincast....never liked that deco of blaster. this one has too much red i think? not sure. skip

    that junkion...not bad.

metal hawk - no attachment to this character. the design looks almost liek an elongated topspin although i can see transformation is different. not in love with either mode so will skip unless is on large discount somewhere later on.

Yeah, the more I look at Metalhawk's jet mode the worse it feels to me. It just looks straight-up unfinished. I could excuse it more if he was a Deluxe but I can't believe they took one of the best jet modes ever and turned it into that... they really should've taken some influence from the IDW design for the alt mode if they were going to retool him from Cyclonus. If you don't look closely enough to realize the size of the figure, it genuinely looks like a Core-class alt mode.

Imagine how awesome he'd have looked if they kept the same transformation as Cyclonus but remolded the nosecone to have details resembling this:
    Screen Shot 2023-02-01 at 12.28.08.png
and with the same wings as he currently has, but with an added joint so they flip around so they're still pointing backwards. Way better vehicle mode with minimal-to-no cost to G1 accuracy for the robot mode. I would've probably preordered him already.
Strongly disagreed about Skyquake, he's got one of the best looking jet modes in recent years IMO, and I don't think Prowl's is that bad even if it's definitely not as good as the original, but I definitely agree about Hot Shot and the overall trend. I really want to like Hot Shot but the car mode is just so weirdly shaped and proportioned.

I'll be waiting on Chop Shop.

    The question is:
Is Venom getting his own mould?

Because Barrage is most likely gonna use Bombshell.

I'm very happy that Metalhawk is a pure Masterforce style incarnation and not some kind of IDW chimera.

Yeah, I get that folks like Skyquake. The jet isn't bad, but it looks a tad too unrealistic/ Cybertron/ stylized for my taste. To me, G1 Skyquake was a very bad influence, but I can see people liking it

I mean, they all end up in robot mode on my shelf. Except for some with beast modes.

Mine too for the most part, but if the vehicle mode didn't matter why bother making them able to transform at all? I'm generally a little more lenient with vehicle modes than robot modes but I still want the vehicle modes to look good.

I enjoy these fanstreams, gives me some joy. Pre ordered Skyquake. Definitely in for Metalhawk and Junkions. Looking forward to seeing how they work with Holiday Prime.

    Then yeah how about SS'86

The magic they do with remolds nowadays I could see them getting a Venom out of Shrapnel or Bombshell. Just take a little extra work from the really easy Chop Shop and Barrage.

-ZacWilliam, I absolutely want all 4, but I'd also love Bombshell to get a very simple alteration to be a Ladybug, for a Beet Papil reference that would really make the team complete.

Skyquake is my most anticipated. Honestly if they don’t do the g1 ver I think I would be ok bc this fusion of the two is enough for me. Metal hawk is a must. The rest idc about except for twincast.

I'll be selfish in my likes and say that the only thing I feel that needed work is the proportional size of the cockpit molding. The size of the nosecone would jive more if the cockpit looked larger.

I wouldn't have cared for this toy if this compromised and added IDW elements. I want absolutely zero IDW elements in my Japanese G1 characters. So I'm glad Hasbro went this route on this take. If it wasn't pure 100% Masterforce I wouldn't have cared at all.

    I'll start with this:

Evan's the real MVP. He not only mentioned wanting to do a RID Prime (doesn't guarantee he'll come, but it's a start), but he also called out the gatekeepers. YES! Call 'em out! Gatekeeping sucks!

    Now, onto the reveals:

So, Scourge has made it necessary to buy that little twerp, Freezer, so he can be "complete". Dang it.
Airazor still does nothing for me.
Cheetor, in hand, looked a little better. (On the fence, however.)
Arcee was honestly kind of "meh". I'm sure the Deluxe will be better.

    Legacy:
    Shrapnel? Yes.

Twincast? You cheeky monkeys... I see Rewind, there. Good thing I had a Soundblaster (Siege) for him to face off against on my shelves. But still... ;)  Cheeky, cheeky.

Metalhawk? Can we talk about how awesome he really is? Man, I'd say there's enough extensive work that this is more shared engineering than a reuse of the Cyclonus mold, but Evan flat out said they reused the Cyclonus mold. Man, it looks fantastic! (I don't care about the shells, they'd just collect dust somewhere. I am, however, sad for those who did want them and I get their wanting them to be complete. I do. That sucks just missing it by that much.)

Crashbar? Mark, you're also cheeky. ;)  I love how he more or less incorporated a bit of himself in the figure. (But it also looks like Lemmy and that's cool. Period.)

Grimlock? Thiccboi. Oof. Worries me about articulation on Volcanicus, Monstructor, and Dinoking. I'm hoping that because it was a live stream and they had overlords in the background gesturing to wrap it up that they couldn't fully show us what he's capable of in combined form. I hope there's more articulation than I'm thinking there is.

Thundercracker? C'mon, really? So... Skywarp is the only one who gets shafted on that stupid combinable weapon piece? Hasbro, we need another accessory pack with his missing null rays, please. (Besides, we love those accessory packs. Chop chop, let's go!)

Skyquake? Fantastic each time I see it. Now, the confirmation that Needlenose indeed does attach to him. Huh. Neat.

The rest didn't thrill me, at all. No interest in Prowl or Crosscut, sorry. Nemesis ain't my cup o' joe.

As for the pipeline? (Finally! PIPELINE! YAY!)

    Beachcomber? Yes.

    Devcon? MOTHAFLIPPIN' YASSS, QUEEN!

    Dirge repack? Yes.

    Armada Megatron? Yes.

Axelgrease? Maybe. I'm sure I'll be swayed as I like filling out the Junkions lineup on my shelf, but Scraphook is a bit wonky (those arms!) and I'd rather that this is either a Leader Class or a Core Class. We have 2 Voyagers, 2 Deluxes, this would make for a nice way to give them at least one per size class. (But then we'd need another Core and another Leader and that seems less than feasible right now. If at all.)

All in all, I was really impressed with this stream. BMac wasn't his usual "life is pain..." self, Mark was amazing as always, and Evan was the MVP. He was lively and really in it. Delaney seemed to be in good spirits, some of that being her job as a marketer, but still... I was pleasantly surprised by the team on this one. A+ This was one of their better streams. And they'll be back in March! YAY! MOAR PLASTIC CRACK GOODNESS, NAO PLS

Evan didn't mention wanting to do RID Prime, he said he prefers Prime as a firetruck, which could mean RID01 or Animated
