Oh undoubtedly. I just find it funny how when deciding the gimmick to advertise about the figure, they thought basic 5mm weapon storage to make an “antenna” was the better choice than the spring-loaded opening mechanism in the chest that stores the cassette. Energon, on the other hand…
They have to use the same clear plastic for rewind. If the window is red tinted, Rewind would be red as well.
Never thought I\'d see a Twincast as a mainline figure. (That Headmaster in Titans Return doesn\'t count) I\'m liking both Metalhawk and Crashbar. Does the RotB Scrouge remind anyone else of DC\'s Talons from Court of Owls or is it just me?
That would be more toy than anime, though. Also, if you made the window red, we'd end up with a second Shattered Glass Rewind.
Legacy Metalhawk’s jet mode is quite a turn off. I am undecided at this point. Still want to get Skyquake more.
You already have toy details on the original toys. Chrome has poor durability, that kind of outdated 80's style toy detailing is not needed on modern toys.
Same can be said about the outdated 80s cartoon. Which had no detailing at all. That's why the toon MPs look horrid.
Yeah, well, if you don’t eat yer meat you can’t have any pudding! How can you have any pudding if you don’t eat yer meat? PS - Haslab disagrees with you on chrome, mate. Deathsaurus is wonderfully chromed and he’s more modern then Shrapnel cause he ain’t even built yet! So… (raspberry)
Yea I realized that .2 seconds after posting it. I will now from now on call it Crossbar. *evil laugh of DOOM*
Forgive me if someone else already said this, but a G2 dreadwing and smokescreen can be BB and Stars cream from Beast wars II so in a way they have been in a cartoon, we need more Japanese love than just JG1.
I could see them possibly getting away with making them new molds just solely for the fact that one of them is an iteration of Starscream & the other was at one point supposed to be an iteration of Megatron. I can also see them doing Galvatron down the road to go with Lio Convoy as they seem to pretty good about completing rivalries. That being said I feel like our only hope for the others is if Hasbro decides to start doing BW toy only characters which I don't think will happen until they're done giving us everyone from the US cartoon, but who knows maybe they'll randomly pull someone from BWII or BW Neo out of nowhere.
Good thing all these Sunbow styled Generations molds over the last few years aren't dated with the zero detailing that the MPs do. They're full of sculpted lines and details. Even Shrapnel has a ton of sculpted detail not present on the animation model. So...uh yeah, thanks for pointing that out for me. Haslab can't disagree with poor chrome QC and durability. Victory Saber's chrome isn't great and Deathsaurus's looks to be even more problematic seeing as it's more than a flat surface. Having to worry about fingerprint on a part that's fully chromed is not any kind of benefit when they could have pulled off a similar enough effect with shiny paint like they've they've used before.
not too bad. more than half are decent. shrapnel looks good. twincast well that will be mold fatigue. crosshairs is mold fatigue. it\'s not one of their stronger reveals but it\'s alright, will wait for in hand images to make up my mind on some of these
I was supposed to slow down with collecting this year goddammit it. So much shit I want now. Why did I have to pick such an expensive hobby to love!
