Some neat stuff but nothing mind blowing here. Honestly, the best part for me was Evan calling out Gatekeeping as bad, especially for Transformers. Just funny considering those who like to defend it on these boards.
King Atlas, Machine Wars Starscream, G2 Skyquake, Prime Dreadwing; there are a surprisingly large amount of possibilities as to whom he could be retooled into.
Fairly sure he means leader-class Snarl and Swoop, not the Core Dinobots. And I agree! If I have one disappointment from this reveal group, it’s that there are no leader Dinobots in it.
Wave 2 looks pretty solid. Just gonna compress my thoughts as there's other things I want to talk about. Most likely skip - Nemesis Prime, Thundercracker Buy Eventually - Twincast, Crashbar Must buy - Animated Prowl, Shrapnel, Metalhawk, Prime Skyquake (tho I might cancel if they reveal a G1 version) Holiday Prime in normal colors could be pretty cool depending on how that looks. I gotta say I love that gave us a teaser of what's to come. I hope they do that more often. I will say I'm a little concerned about the voyagers as it seems like there's no new molds going forward, only repaints & PRs. That's why I'm hoping Bludgeon is a new mold, if not I just hope he at least fits in with the other pretenders. So who we thinking were gonna get for exclusives? We already know were getting Earthmode Hound & G2 Grimlock, but who else? Right now here's my list of ideas: Powerlinx Hot Shot - redeco of Hot Shot Reboost - redeco of Crosscut Chop Shop - redeco + new head from Shrapnel Snare (or anyone of the 4 predator jets) - redeco + new head from Needlenose Antagony - redeco of Inferno Armada Thundercracker - redeco of Armada Starscream G1 Skyquake - redeco + new head from Prime Skyquake Lemme know if you have any interesting ideas

Pre-ordered Shrapnel and Twincast Skyquake (and Metalhawk to a degree) looks to be a great figure but I rather wait until it goes on sale.
Idk why I forgot about Cryotek lol Cryotek could be cool even if I personally want the version from theft of the golden disk, the face sculpt could probably fit him better than TM2 Megs. Galvatron is also a no brainer, but I do agree it probably won't happen for a while unfortunately.

I know we’ve known about the Studio Series reveals for a while now, but there’s one thing they talked about during the stream that I haven’t seen a whole lot of talk about, and that’s Core Arcee. When the designers talk about her, they suggest that it was a deliberate choice to make Arcee Core class because of her size in the film and as a motorcycle, suggesting that this is THE Studio Series Arcee and that we shouldn’t be expecting an SS Deluxe version. This is a bit troubling, considering Arcee seems to be a pretty doable design, just not at Core Class, where she suffers from limited articulation and paint, bad kibble management, visible robot parts in alt mode, faux pieces, and just generally not a great looking figure. Most, if not all, of these problems seem pretty avoidable with a Deluxe scale and budget, but it seems like we won’t be getting that. There’s a possibility for one in the tie-in line that has yet to be officially revealed, but going off of the figures that we’ve seen from that line, who knows how accurate it’ll be or if the motorcycle will even be licensed.
Personally, I wish Hasbro would do more “it’s small but in a larger size class do to engineerning needing more budgeg”, and then throw in extra accessories. Just like SS86 Hot Rod.
Who is this “we”? I’m totally down for my Legacy insecticons looking like their chromey G1 toys. Hopefully the translucent yellow chest pieces haven’t been too vexing for you. I think it’s a detail they got right though!
Are we gonna talk about how core Nemesis uses the earthrise prime art and the trailer still has an autobot symbol.
Definitely hope we see those Armada retools/repaints, and I’d be genuinely surprised if we didn’t. To add more, if we’ve got Thundercracker, we’ve gotta add Skywarp to round out the trio (the new head would be cool to see especially), and maybe throw in Ramjet for good measure to get use out of the head. Energon colors probably aren’t happening. Also probably a long shot, but I would kill for a version of Starscream that’s more toon accurate and has a Minicon port on the back piece. A little more white, especially on the legs, would go a long way. And along with Powerlinx Hot Shot (hoping for cartoon as opposed to toy colors), it’d be cool to see his Smokescreen repaint. I mentioned some Skyquake repaints above, but if I had to bet on the one we’re most likely to see, I think it’s Prime Dreadwing.
I don't have the time and money now to preorder, so here's what I'll be getting once Wave 2 hits stores: - Crashbar (obviously, I love the Junkions) - Shrapnel (robot mode is sort of wide but looks good in general) - Metalhawk (looks good, he's even got the sword) Other than that I am not buying anything else. I really like Skyquake but I can't afford Leader Class figures here, which range in price from $99 to $101.
Yeah they're probably gonna want to space the repaint out from the retail figure. And that would be neat, I'd love if he had the head sculpt Perfect Effect used. Agreed, and if we can get a redo I would like something like that or like the Deluxe minibots.
