Honestly not much in this wave that I want. I preordered Metalhawk and Crashbar. Cyclonus was so good that I imagine Metalhawk will be just as good. I will probably pick up Grimlock too just to continue the Volcanicus combiner. Little bit disappointing that he was the only new mold Core class in this wave.

Oh he exist alright, we already got the store code listing of him that also shows he's Commander Class courtesy of JTprime and he's on the product poster unlike Polar Claw who was on a mural made to interest the higher ups/investors. He is real and confirmed... Just not by Hasbro of course who are still treating him as an Easter Egg on the poster and keeping his existence a secret, not even bringing him up during the pipeline reveals.
Of course they’re making the G1 Devcon scourge repaint yet ignore the one true Devcon we need. Would make a much better toy as well.
WAIT! Does Needlenose on top of Skyquake mean a G2 Dreadwing and G2 Smokescreen 2-pack is being created? If yes, I will buy them!
I'd definitely prefer if Devcon wasn't just a Scourge repaint again, that's for sure. I also think that movie guy would make for a neat figure, though they could probably come up with a better name... I always thought "Defcon" was kind of a cheeky / similar sounding name to the one slapped on the concept art. Pretty sure he only got the name "Devcon" was the same reason Shockwave was "Blitzwing" and so forth.

And g1 can keep their blocky bots, the point is they’re making the more boring if 2 toy options and I wish they went with the more memed of the 2. (And I don’t mean in legacy, I’d want him in SS)
Lots of polarity here on Metalhawk's jet mode. Love it or hate it, it's very Japanese G1, fitting in quite well with the likes of Star Saber, Dai Atlas, Sky Garry, Black Shadow, and other JG1 weirdo-futuristic-alien aircraft. He is now my most anticipated figure for 2023, seeing as Leo Prime came yesterday.
Yep! TFP Skyquake (the new toy) takes cues from the G1 Skyquake, aka Scrash from Operation Combination, and the jet-on-top combination is very reminiscent of the Predator Jets gimmicks. I suspect if Needlenose is done as any of the four Predators, it'll be Talon. -Marc.
Quick thoughts: Core Nemesis: Black Optimus, innit? The only standout is the metallic teal, and it’s nice he comes with an axe. Core TC: Blue Starscream, innit? Glad he comes with a null rays. Interesting that both of these Core guys had profiles on the Kingdom website which led to speculation of Cores for them. Core Grims: Was hoping the limbs would be better than the torso bots, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. he’s not terrible, but again no elbows, huge fists, and an oddly proportioned dino mode don’t do it any favours. The combiner mode is a brick, even more so than normal combiners due to the lack of a foot piece. Starting to wonder if I’ll even be interested in Dinoking. Crosscut: Nice silver, don’t like the red wheels. Not much else to say. Shrapnel: Looks alright, though a bit broad. Kickback’s clear wings will probably stick out like a sore thumb next to this guy and Bombshell, but otherwise they seem to fit together. TFA Prowl: Looks fairly good. Maybe a bit chunky, the face is a bit weird and the alt-mode has some gaps, but otherwise quite good. Crashbar: Another Junkion, fairly nice design, and non-standard transformation for a bike Junkion. Looking forward to mic and matching with Scraphook. Metalhawk: Looks good, though slightly disappointed it’s not based on the shell. At the very least Kingdom Cyc is a good mold to work with. Twincast: Blaster but blue. Doesn’t look bad, but it’s a shame that he doesn’t have a double tapedeck and that Rewind is clear. I’ll get it for Rewind, though I may wait to see if it gets discounted. Skyquake: Still looks good, and a nice balance of Prime and G1 elements. Will probably hold out for Dreadwing and G1 Skyquake, seeing as they’re far more interesting and DW had a far bigger role in the show. Overall a good selection, though I do wish they revealed some of the exclusives/Selects. Still very much vibing with Evan.
