Core Grimlock looks worse than PotP Grimlock in dinomode, and that leg mode is a joke! It\'s ssssooo bulky and ugly. I\'m hoping that Sludge\'s legs were mistransformed there, becayse even that part of Volcanicus looked awful. I was considering the rumoured Dinoking retool, but it would have to be a massive improvement over what\'s been shown so far. We know Hasbro can do decent, small combiners. Legends RotF Devastator had great alt modes, and decent robot and combined modes. Legends Abominus had a wonky combined mode, but the other modes were pretty good. I know compromises to one mode or another have to be made, especially at small scale and for triple changers, but it feels like all three modes of these guys have pretty big compromises.
With Metalhawk coming, I have hope for more 'inner bot pretenders. One thing I'd be up for is a Voyager Inner 'Bot Bludgeon from ER Megs' Just make the fusion cannon more rifle-like and do a katana styled sword and new head sculpt.
Quite surprised Core grimlock doesn’t come with a flat foot combiner piece, wonder if that’ll be exclusive to Goryu/Dinoking version.
You just reminded me that there's a con called Axer and Axelgrease is a good mold to be redecoed into him alongside Lockdown.
Grimlock’s dino mode is honestly fine. It’s just as compromised as the other two we’ve got so far. The weapon becomes the tail tip and the legs sit higher on the back than the promo image showed. Just another case of mistransformed promo shot.

See, I'm fine with the listings as they don't show off what the physical toy looks like. The leakers get stuff once they're being assembled in factory which is the bigger spoiler imo.
I work in software design and that look comes way more often than you think. Because marketing LOVES to throw new stuff at us that they totally didn't think to mention before launching it.
I wouldn't expect that to be honest, unless Dinoking is a Pulsecon exclusive set or something like that. If Dinoking goes regular retail then they will just be the original Dinobot molds unchanged in the inner bot colors with maybe new headsculpts.
They are live, PO'd all the Legacy Deluxe and Voyagers, Leader and Core Thundercracker (praying furiously to the toy gods for a re-release of core Skywarp w/ Null Rays).
Interesting... on Amazon Canada the current date May 1 for the deluxes, June 1 for everyone else. Though I couldn't find anything on Nemesis Prime, Crashbar, and Dreadwing.
Works really well as a counterpart to the Jet Optimus Megaweapon combination. Though I still like Tidal Wave's carrier/arms turning into an extended claw for Megatron.
hopefully the description of Core Thundercracker coming with 2 accessories is correct otherwise, only one weapon really shows how desperate they are to cut costs...
