New figures look pretty nice, Shrapnel honestly might be a pickup, Prowl and Crashbar I'm absolutely gonna grab. Metalhawk looks sweet and Dreadwing is a fairly nice looking leader.
They all look.. fine. Shrapnel is the only must-buy. Prowl, crashbar, and skyquake are a possibility. Twincast metalhawk thunder cracker and nemesis p are a respectful pass. Crosscut and mini grimlock look like crap; hard pass. But overall, solid wave. Little less interesting than the last wave, but the addition of animated brings a lot of new possibilities.
What listing is this? All I've seen just says "Strongarm." Don't know why they'd jumble these pipeline reveals like you're suggesting either. Don't know, Dead End just up and vanished while I was busy with the holidays and trying to get Flamewar. I'm really looking to quit before "a fair bit into the future."
Shrapnel, Metalhawk and Grimlock will all be picked up. Skyquake I’m holding off on a G1 deco, if we don’t get it I’m fine skipping the mold. Grimlock is the one I want to see more of though, it didn’t seem like his handheld weapon was attached to the Dino mode or the leg mode? I love how chunky his robot mode is, he’s going to be an adorable Goryu. Pipeline reveals are a really nice touch too, glad to see those added.
It’s true but from a marketing standpoint for the spring/summer season you have only 2 big ticket items that require more time, Nemesis and Armada prime. Prime will have his spotlight in March. It’s silly but it makes sense with marketing and scheduling.
-Shrapnel looks fantastic. Very excited for that one (and the inevitable Chop Shop). -Volvo Prime would be nice. Passed on the holiday deco, so a standard one would be welcome. -Black Leo Prime is a maybe. I think I'd like a shining version more, though. -Skyquake continues to look good. -Core TC and Nemesis are bought on sight. -Metalhawk's alt mode looks a bit too messy. Not sure about that one. -A new Beachcomber would be quite welcome. -Devcon is also welcome. -Core Grimlock looks worse that the Voyager that combined. Wow, just not good at all.
Pretty cool to see Transformers start to do pipeline reveals like some of Hasbro's other lines. Interesting that they only showed three deluxes for wave 3. Given how many were leaked including the two package refreshes I wonder if Evolution will be getting five waves this year instead of four waves. Because not counting the three deluxes they teased there's still listings for Detritus, Strongarm, Shadow Striker, Bombshell, and the weird ROBO WLD RDR. Was nice for me is that I'll likely be able to skip wave 3 completely if the pipeline reveals are everything being released for the wave. Not a bad thing either as Marvel Legends has a crap load of stuff taking my funds this year.
As it is now he's just an Easter Egg, just as much as the Tarn looking but not Tarn himself face in the center of the poster. Plus I meant in the context of him being part of the reveals/announcements in the future. They're still keeping him a secret even though we already know.
On one hand, I hate how the Dinobots had to be a mediocre gimmick. On the other hand, I love CHONK Grimlock.
Shrapnel looks decently solid. (but also nothing like a $25 figure) some silver paint or chrome on the horns would be a big improvement. Core Grimlock is the crappiest thing they ever crapped since they crapped out Core Sludge. Metalhawks 'bot mode looks great, but his alt mode looks pretty bad. Too blocky and chonky. The wing placement feels really weird. the arms are so massive sticking out from the fuselage with the wings out at the end. Then the entire back end is just a big block. Placing the vertical stabilizers more in the middle of each half of the back might make it look a little better... REALLY not feeling the yellow face on Twincast... being anime accurate isn't a bonus when it looks bad. (looks awesome otherwise) Cool that we'll get a standard deco on the Christmas Prime. Everything else was leaked that I are about, but man Crosscuts red wheels look even more terrible when you see them in real life. that was just a tragic decision. Junkions remain the coolest thing about this year for me, I think I'm just over the endless rehashes. Like, I should be excited about Beachcomber, but I've already got a REALLY good Beachcomber from Titans Return that looks great and cost 1/3 the new one... (but will be nice to hopefully be able to get Dirge after Amazon failed me)
I would like to take a moment to point out the best part of this stream. Not any of the reveals or even the team calling out gatekeeping. No the best part is when Ben mentions that they are doing a new segment called "Through the Spacebridge" and Evan has no clue what he is talking about. We all know that look, like he had forgotten about a test at school as it was about to start and is completely unprepared.
