I’ve wanted a transforming Roller since getting my Optimus Prime toy in 1984. As a kid I drew numerous design ideas for him. This would be an almost-certain purchase for me, just as a nostalgic indulgence.

However, I will only buy if the vehicle mode is dark blue and if the robot bears no resemblance to IDW Roller. I like the big guy a lot, but he and G1 Roller are two completely separate entities.

 

How do I order this? I must have it!

 

I just want to know how tall it is to see if I want it or not!  

 

I could be wrong, but if the hand has 5 mm hole, the height of the figure should be 13 sm
 

 

Cheers! Hmm, 13cm would be a bit big for how I'd want to use him... Or, maybe not - might be spot-on, actually...

 

That’s nearly the height of WFC Sideswipe. So, a bit oversized for CHUG. Probably about right for MP.

 

I'm thinking about Legends!

Yeah I figured you were thinking about legends— so you want him as an IDW Roller?

 

I mean, it’s not a strong resemblance. He looks more like the Diaclone colors for one of the jumpstarters, and the lack of red bits on his head doesn’t scream IDW Roller either.

Plus, Roller was black & orange in the comics. So I think you’re good, right?

Granted, wouldn’t surprise me if in addition to a silver repaint, they might do this figure in colors that resemble the IDW look.

 

Yeah, I think he'd work as that (although an IDW repaint, as @KevinSig mentioned, would be ideal). Or just as a Generic Cool-looking Robot #6. I like the toy and think it'd fit in with IF stuff, if it's not too big.  

 

This is real?!??! Cool, *edited* be nice if he can take MP-10s Ion Cannon (like the Roller with MP-10) but really keen either way.

 

I really hope they also make one to scale with MP10-V, but I think I'll get it regardless.

 

Well you might have to settle for MP44, unless the ion cannons are cross compatible.

pictures show him pulling the mp44 trailer, so if he has the ability, it’ll be for that gun

 

Makes sense, I am actually really keen for this and I probably shouldn't have made it sound like a stipulation for MP10s Ion Cannon which in reality is such a stubby weapon that my MP-10 holds a spare TE-01 Ion Cannon so he doesn't feel inadequate.
