John DiMaggio as Stratosphere?! I like that voice actor!

 

For better or worse, there's a pointed shift towards 'name' voice casting in Bumblebee and this movie, versus how the previous films usually approached it with a heavy focus on career voice actors with the occasional inspired screen actor casting (Nimoy, Goodman). We'll of course just have to see (hear) how it turns out in the final movie. It worked out fine in Bumblebee.

Nice to see some Transformers veterans in the cast like DiMaggio and Sobolov!

It’s the third or fourth time he’s played a CGI giant. He got this.

 

Like Mighty Eagle from Angry Birds and Eitri from Infinity War?

 

He's still a producer, but he's pretty hands off in that role usually .

I was not expecting Dinklage to be voicing Scourge here. Granted it's not a bad choice far from it but still pretty good choice here. Was also not expecting Sabolov to do more voices here one of them being Rhinox of all characters. Really makes me want to see him reprise as Depthcharge in a future film.

Also how come no one is mentioning Stratosphere here? That's another big shock!

 

Dinklage has a superb voice, he'll be a fine Scourge. His Captain Guts was one of the best things about Ice Age 4.

Great that DiMaggio and especially BW veteran Sobolov are in this. Depthcharge is now Rhinox.


I can't comment on the other voices till I've heard them.

 

Who are stratosphere and reek?

 

Say what you will but voice cast was one of the strong suits about the Bayverse.

John DiMaggio Stratosphere. I do not care about whether the movie is good or bad anymore lmao. This makes up for all of that.

Idk who most of em are, I know Peter and Liza... and John,
made me kinda sad to see his name there considering he came for me on Twitter about 2 years ago and embarassed me.

 

Peter Dinklage as Scourge is interesting. He's got a vocal presence so it'll be interesting to see how that comes through given his live action type-casting.
