I feel like they've pretty much replaced Arcee's old role with Windblade. Didn't even change the personality, just the visuals.

We've already seen Cybertronian crushes in the cartoons. Most recent was RiD. Swipe had a huge crush on Windblade.

That's because Hasbro severely underuses all the other Femmes. They overuse Arcee and Windblade to the point of nausea.
It's why I can't stand Arcee and barely tolerate Windblade.

How long are you going to keep this up? As I've already told you, people don't always have to agree with each other's opinions, so please stop arguing with everyone who doesn't approve of your ship. It's getting annoying. From now on, whenever someone mentions a paring you don't like, just ignore them instead of trying to convince them your idea is better. Like it or not, we're all entitled to our own opinions. You can ship whoever you want, and we can ship whoever we want. End of discussion.

On topic, hell I'd see it. I'm sorry, but after the brief MTMTE Chromedome/Rewind stuff I've read, I would GLADLY pay to watch a movie where Transformers are in a romance. If it's written well (read: the transformers are written like actual characters) the audience won't mind - sure there will be some frat boys snickering in the back but done well, by the end of the movie they'll be invested. And honestly romance and EMOTION has been missing from TF media for so long that it's long overdue. I feel like people are immediately put off by the idea because their minds go to the "well how do they fuck" idea and for anyone whose ever been in a relationship, you know it's SO much more than sex - it's an emotional bond, romantic chemistry, all that shit. Write the romance well and then plug in the robot shit later. I'd pay to see this. Hell, if they made a whole movie about a TF couple whose relationship is tested by the war I'd see it.

But do you trust the guys currently in charge of the TF movies to make the kind of film you want? You may end up regretting asking for it (I've been a Star Wars fan since I was a kid but I try my very best not to remember Anakin and Padme's 'love story' ).

If a studio like Marvel had been in charge I might have wanted something like that being attempted, but to be honest, after the first five movies I've really lowered my expectations where Paramount are concerned. Especially if Knight doesn't come back.

 

It all depends solely on who is writing and directing. If Kruger and Bay come back for some godforsaken reason? Stay away. But if they got some one with a good track record I wouldn't mind seeing it. This is a case where it's sort of unprecedented, so whoever does it will have to figure it all out themselves. And maybe Bumblebee has made me too optimistic but I think Paramount has taken the first step on the right path.
