Could Sam possibly be going to a Philly collage? That'd be pretty sweet.

 

The leaked treatment did have Sam going to college. Looks like at least that part of it is likely to make it into the final trip.

Let's just hope the really racist Asian roommate character wasn't included, too.

 

If not a Philly college, I would assume some sort of college. Probably give it some fake name like Springer College or Mt. St. Hillary College.

Cool. If this turns out to be true and they do film part of TF2 in Philly, I'm so taking off from work and heading to the set.

Philly and it's surrounding areas have some amazing filming locations.

Anyways, it's more than likely than Philadelphia wouldn't be portrayed in the movie. Rather, they'd use a Philadelphia college as some fictional college or some college elsewhere. After all, they didn't film the Qatar scenes in Qatar. Nowadays, it's all about what they're looking for and who's offering the most incentives. I'm sure Philadelphia or Pennsylvania governments are offering a nice incentive for movies to come film there.

That does it, I'm boycotting Transformers and all future Bay movies. That will teach him a lesson he will never forget.

 

I was about to post exactly that. But it's only logical since the sequel takes place further in time and so Sam will go to college as well.

 

Bay's presence in Philly doesn't necessarily mean that he's scouting sequel locations.

For all we know he heard that Philly was where one went for a good cheese steak sandwich.

 

Upenn and Girard Collage are no place to get cheese steaks. It makes perfect sense, since both have fairly large open area campuses though. Great for panning shots and perhaps a little action as well.

 

thats cool transformers in philly i bet sams going to college there. poor bumblebee will have to wait all day for sam to get out of school to answer to optimus.

 

Those colleges would be good locations for a college-bound sam.
it would be awesome for bay to use the museum steps or even go down Kelly drive into the museum. that can make for some good shots....and and even more AWESOME EXPLOSIONS!

Besides we need some more positives in the city of brotherly love nowadays!
