As usual, the bios on those bots are certainly sweet. Heck the profile alone makes me want to grab Stockade, whom I had every intention of skipping initially.

 

Might get the First Strike OP, Incinerator and Stockade when they come out.

 

Evac, Incinerator and Stockade will be mine next year. I read on the website the parts of the packages will glow in the dark. I think that's a good marketing idea.

Incinerator and Stockade are mine. Repaints for the loss. But Prime's bio is sweet.

 

The bios for all of the new guys are really nice.

My thoughts:

First Strike Optimus Prime - I think he's red - I really can't tell because of all the RED
Offroad Ironhide - meh. I still wish they had painted the face of the first Ironhide figure.
Evac - neat head remold, but pass.
Incinerator - Looks cooler than I last thought. I may pick him up...
Stockade - Cool figure. I will definitely be buying - for retail price, just so the SCALPERS know that.

 

2008 movie toys wave 1 and wave 2 seem sparse so far

i was expecting more movie toys in wave 1 and wave 2. still waiting for the nonfrozen voyager megatron. would like to see leader blackout, leader bonecrusher, leader starscream, ultimate optimus and ultimate megatron. the sparse movie toys announced so far will result in a boring start for me in 2008.

I'm sure we will be seeing figures from the previous movie waves included to pad these out, which will actually be a good thing this time IMO, given the shortage of figures that has taken place.

And also, you probably shouldn't hold your breath for any more leader class figs - I don't even think we will be getting a Leader Megs repaint, given that we already have 4 LC figs out (Brawl, Megatron, Standard & NW Prime).

I mean I could be wrong - but if there were any more, I think we would have heard about them by now.

I also don't think Hasbro will be shelling out any more Ultimate figures - and that's a good thing IMO. I mean, the most most Supreme size figures we ever got per line were two, and those guys only went for $50. So yeah, TWO more $90 figs seem highly unlikely.

I also think that the Best Buy metallic voyager Megs is the closest we will get to a "non frozen" version.

 

Those leader and ultimates probably won't happen. And I doubt we'll see a non-frozen megatron till tf2

And keep in mind that they're also launching a line of animated toys with a couple in early 2008, then the rest in spring, and more classics later that year. They have a lot lined up for 2008, they aren't going to keep making movie the entire time.

 

On a second thought, they could have fixed Incinerator's legs... and his rotor arms. Starscream Mk.2, anyone?

 

Firdt Strike Prime looks off to me. The truck mode looks alright but the robot mode is truning me off big time.
Incinerator looks nice, but I need some hands on reviews to swing me in his favor.
You can't repaint a bad mold and give it a new head and expect it to be good, pass on Evac.
Stockade looks great.
Ironhide repaint is a big pass.

 

Looks like a few hits and a few misses.

DM, I honestly like the Blackout mold (of course, it probably helps that I didn't get one with any automorph issues) and Evac looks cool too. Of course, I don't mind the fact that he's a voyager about the size of a deluxe in robot mode.

 

It's probably all of that red - there's like next to nothing breaking it up, and then there's that yellow....it worked for classics Prime, but not for movie Prime.
