Just ask him for a picture of the hose and two ends seperated. All the KO ones came with those three pieces glued together.

Yeah, I just looked at mine actually and it doesn't have this wording.

Hmm, are there better tells on the fake?

I'm with you on the "does not record or play casettes" part, but I challenge anyone to find a sealed G1 Soundwave without the carboard insert.

I looked & all the ones I found had the insert... Even the Euro boxed ones.

Looks like the counterfeitors may have realized that too:

Works for most of the fakes out there still..... I hope.

You know, I'm wondering if he just used a real box for the picture.

G1 Mirage - Original vs Reproduction

    Hello to all,

I previously made a series of images depicting the differences between a real and repro'ed G1 Prime. Here we go again with Mirage.

    Before I start ...
This "guide" (if you can even call it that) is a work in progress based off of 1 repro'ed image (the only one we have to date).

Credit to Spirit-Of-Cybertron for the repro'ed Mirage image. Thanks to Toyarchive for the Mirage picture.

    All participation is welcomed.

Keep all ethical "knockoff" discussion out of this thread. This is for educational purposes only. NO DEBATES PLEASE.

Again, the purpose to this is to educate eBayers. There are AWFUL sellers out there who claim these pieces as being real. Spirit-Of-Cybertron has never done so and is very trustworthy. (those in the eBay forum will remember the rotten POS who claimed repro'ed Primes as being real)

Wow, this one seems really easy to spot. Is there a chance they will fix these errors?

With all of the known box issues with the KO'ed Prime, they never adjusted because the foam would be off.

It's possible with this one because nothing shifts but images. The bubble should remain the same. Again though, to get everything just right ... I'm sure even with a revision, we'll catch something.
