Ive been working on a new combiner for my Switchblade Prime(OP repaint) and I couldnt decide between BIG shoulder guns, hand held guns, or both. So Ill let you guys decide.(I know the pics are bad.)
Not only are the pictures ridiculously bad (almost like you made them that way on purpose, did you? To be funny?), but I feel that from what I can make out in the pics, the guns are ridiculously bad as well. What I mean to say is that the aesthetic of either set of guns is too cartoonish or toyish, while the ROTF Prime is more realistic and does not match well with the guns shown. So I vote "neither".... Sorry.
No I did not make them bad on purpose, my desk has really bad lighting. I kind of agree with you on the shoulder guns (cartoonish) but not the hand guns (Which makes me want to get better pics up here that much faster)
Now that the better pics are up, I can say that I'm not a fan of the "BIG shoulder guns", as Bern said (a little harshly, but que sera sera); I have to say that they're a bit too "cartoony".... The 'handguns' work better, akin to the Voyager class Prime's smokestack rifles. They might need a little work to make them a bit more 'mechanical', to fit in with the movie aesthetic.
Oh yeah now it can be seen, nice thanks! And please forgive the harshness of my earlier post, I was just frustrated that folks still make threads with useless pics on here. I can definitely see the potential in the handguns like Methusalen noted. I really like the detailing on your Prime and am looking forward to seeing the handguns finished! Also, shoulder guns should not be out of the question, this could look totally cool, just try finding some cannons are a lot more ROTF-like. You could even build something from scratch out of pens and little bits of wiring and plastic. With enough small details, you can really get a complex, unique and hi-tech realistic look. I'll vote 'both' based on that. Good luck!
I think when you add the extra parts for the gun, that will look alot better. they are too "clean" right now. At first i didnt' like the shoulder guns, but if you found a way from them to rotate out of the way and fold to his back, that could be cool. i like the idea of pop-out weaponry. Just beacsue we didn't see it in the movie doesnt' mean its not there. Randy!
