In my eagerness to get this bad boy posted, I did forget to give credit to the original artist responsible for the digi-bash that this custom was based on, White Mocha. It's a great piece in my opinion and does a good likeness of all of the characters he interprets.

Typically the only characters you can paint int the same mold are the traditional ones. You know, the seekers, the Lambo bros, the Prowl clan and a few others, But surprisingly the Energon/Universe Downshift mold works well for these guys.

Both received the Gundam arm upgrade, but I went a lil' custom decal crazy with Wheeljack (C'mon, if you can go decal crazy with ANYONE, shouldn't be Wheeljack? Really!) One of my major goals was to make sure his "wings" and his spoiler were one and the same. So, I modded the spoiler from a junker TFTM Jazz, allowing it to pivot and also magnetically attach to both his alt and robot modes.

I also threw in his Shockblast Cannon, this one doesn't explode in his hands, though. :thumb

Windcharger's head started as a Classics 2.0 Ratchet with some additional styrene for that box look.

Thanks to Destronger Lupus for his patience, and for him allowing me to add 2 of my works to his collection. :thumb  As usual, Crits and Comms, welcome,

Hey ax23, good to see you alive and well! These two look awesome! Though WJ's head looks strangely huge, but that's stock from Downshift. Hmmm...How come Windcharger doesn't get your insane arsenal of weapons treatment, give him at least one blaster, brother! Great idea with the wings from TFTM Jazz's spoiler but it's too bad you can't see much of it from the front. I hope D/L's happy with it, cause if he's happy, I'm happy! Thanks for sharing these with us, can't wait what's up next for you! :D

Wow, I just finished my Universe WJ custom with the same mold yesterday! You've went a LOT further than I did, and I really like everything you've done! I cut off the enlongated hubcap off of the wheel of mine, as it bothered me so much. I would have hardly thought of using the same mold for WC though; good call! Great work as always :thumb

I thought you made these from Galaxy Convoy :lolol

Great work on these guys, man. Nice, clean Classics-style paintjob with some nice touches of drybrushing. :thumb

Very nice work, my friend! Wheeljack looks great, but I gotta say, that Windcharger really looks sweet. Never thought of using that mold for WC, but it definitely works. The paint apps look great and I love the detail you put into these. The hands help make these even better.

In fairness the original idea for Windcharger originated with WhiteMocha's BotCon 2010 digibash thread.

But it was an INSPIRED idea!

Nice! I've been wanting to see someone do WC since I saw Whitemochas digibash.
Was the head difficult to do?

I have my Downshift displayed for the moment with my Classics. Have you considered rotating the legs around to get the more vintage look?

I really like these two. I'm not so sure about the blue headlights on WJ though. They seem like they stand out too much. Other than that though, pure win!

Well that does it time to take Downshift out and bash it into WheelJack. As if I don't have enough to do already.

Sweet job on these ABX23. Are those waterslides on WJ?

Nope, not at all. Just takes a few styrene strips, some super glue and some sanding, Id say all together maybe an hour, bro. (or for me, 3 episodes of Bleach....Getsuga Tensho!!!!!)

Yep, it turned out great. Your gonna love him when he gets there this week. :thumb

I wish I could even take credit for it, but I can't! But yep, Windcharger is my personal fave. The head seems to fit he scale very well. :thumb

Yep. Let me know if you want a set on the cheap, I printed 2. :thumb
