This is of course based on the Alt Prime mold. I used Krylon Rich Plum, which I think matched up pretty well to the original Botcon Colors. For the Trucks trim, bumpers, and legs I used Model Master’s Panzer Grey and I dry brushed silver over it to give it an aged and beat up look. Because he is the “Emperor Of Destruction” I dry brushed gold highlights on the bumper, Legs, feet, and crotch piece detailing. I used a similar look on the head; Panzer Grey, with silver and gold dry brushing. I wanted to give his eyes a cold, dead look, so I used a flat dark red to add creepiness. This is where I really cut my teeth with the weathering. it came out FAR better than I thought. The Panzer Grey I used really reacted well with the silver and gold
The best thing about this figure is that it is really believable as a Shattered Glass Optimus. He looks as evil if not more so than Megatron. The group pic is also very nice, I can just see Optimus and his band of thugs terrorizing the galaxy.
