Cyberslam is made form an animated Megatron. I hated how the helicopter cockpit became a back pack, so I thought it would look better as a chest. the claw can extend out and retract. the gun hand is mad form actual bullets. The Headless Transformer is inspired from the animated Ghost riders I saw here. I was going to make a ghost rider after I saw the first one, but someone made a second one so I was like if I make one then that will just cheapen it. So I got an idea after watching Sleepy Hollow. Make a Headless Transformer. The sycthe came from a batman scarecrow figure. The head, I got form a Nightmare before Christmas phone charm that I got on ebay. The Megatron was a total rip form JinSaotome's "Megatron as some sort of tank. Yes, a tank, BRILLIANT!" the only difference being that I used the cannon form the huge Animated Megatron used to make Cyberslam and the cannon can go on the wrist like in the g1 series. Sky Strike was made form an Ankyloranodon form the Jurassic Park: Chaos Effect series. I used Brimstone, Airraptor, and BM rattrap. Yes I said a rattrap. I used the tail. Underbite was inspired from Shinobitron's overbite. when I saw that I got an idea. Not for a figure, but a fun little sentence. "Overbite meet Underbite." So that is how this guy got started. I used the idea of a creature from World of Warcraft. I forget what it is called. and then I throw in some features form other deep sea creatures I like and there you go. I almost forgot. the eye and the orb light up. I made the Whirl just because I like the vehicle mode. the sad news about him is that the arms broke off after I took the pictures. I was fixing him today. And I threw in a pic of my hollow mask because I'm said that I was going to Anime Boston and that is my costume.
Awesome stuff I like that megatron with the cannon. All these awesome custome from that mold I think I might have to get it.
Wow, these are some extremely well thought out characters. Super Impressive! I really dig the Underbite, its like an Animated Sharkticon. The Headless Transformer is great quite interesting as well.
And THIS is why I think I love that custom! The Headless Transformer was also a brilliant idea and the Oil Slick mold works so well for it! As for the unnamed TF, it looks really cool so far! I see a Movie Payload head and Armada Demolisher body, but the rest is unfamiliar.
I have seen alot of guys do this so I'm going to anwser any questions that I can. Also, I'm going to comment on some of the comments you left. That last sentence didn't sound right, oh well. Here I go. Yes, eventually. I’ve never painted a transformer before. There is a reason why I decided to use the hulk bot, but that reason will come later. Oil Slick does have that gothic look to him, but I hated his head. It just fuined his cool look for me. And the funny thing is, I started working on him on Halloween night. So he is my Halloween transformer. Funny how things work out. The rest is Hoist and some scrap piece. I have no idea what to name him. I forgot to credit Rumble02 becouse this is basiclly his FAILSAFE, just done a little different. Thanks. All my friends say that about me, except for the cool part. If you think these are creepy, then you should see what I did for some of my art class projects. Can anyone say sharp pointy things. People seem to love the Cyberslam. I really like him to. You know how some people have character that they make up and they use them a lot, well Cyberslam is like that for me. I thought him up a long time ago, and he just seems to keep on coming back. It makes me feel good that people like him so far. I forgot to add that he has some Lugnut in him. Hey, can I steal the Animated Sharkticon from you. That is a great idea. On a side note, you guys should see my hollow custom. It's not alot, but it is going to be fun to were at the convention. To bad my friends didn't stick to the original plan, we were all going to be dressed up. Well 3 of us anyway. There was going to be a Quincy, a Sole Reaper, and a Hollow. But they couldn't make the costumes in time. oh well. What are you going to do.
That is a good question. I will have to check that out for you. I think that all you do is switch them out, but I'm not sure. I will check for you when I can.
Wow, these are all so awesome and original! Can't wait to see them painted and finished. That pteradactyl thingy, I KNOW that head from somewhere.. what's it from?
Has the reason got anything to do with G2 Megatron? (cause he is also a green tank) Oh yeah, forgot to ask, which Megatron head did you use?
These all look really cool. You shouldn't cram so many into one thread like this, it only hurts you. Give 'em each their own thread, so that people focus all over that project, instead of splitting their attention over a bunch (and often-times skipping over some) in the process.
The Hasbro series Jurasic Park: Chaos effect. It is the Ankyloranodon JP Toys Totally Yes. No. What I have planned will link all my customs. In fact, I plan on painting this a silver. And the head that I used is the one form the Classic Megatron and Optimus 2 pack. That is a very good head. It screams Megatron. This is a very good suggestion. I guess I just got a little over excited, but I plan on doing more work on these. I will put them is separate post next time.
The Animated Sharkticon (Angler-con?) is veeery nice. At first the Mike TeeVee proportions in robot mode were jarring. But they really work well for the creepy look. Nice use of what appears to be a BM Jetstrom for the head. Has a diving regulator look. If that goes on eBay, I may be tempted. The beast formers here really stand out. I like the others, but the beasts are particulary successful. Kudos.
