Okay, I feel bad for neglecting Radicons for so long, and for my last sort of halfhearted post, so here's something neat you can do with ten minutes and a screwdriver.

One of the unwritten rules of the G1 Gestalts is that pretty much no one gets a functional neck. Everyone has these little square heads, and while it's great for sharing hats, it sucks for peripheral vision.

Even among the leaders, few of them get to peek at what's around them. Menasor? Devastator? Monstructor? Sorry, chumps. Abominus and Bruticus are about the only ones who get to check their blind spots, and frankly, Snaptrap's had enough of that noise.

This little mod grants Snaptrap (And by proxy, Piranacon) a head swivel, which he really should have had to begin with. It also works on God Neptune, and so I would assume it works on those godawful TFCC Seacon repaints as well.

As an example, I'll demonstrate on a somewhat dirty Snaptrap from my junk pile.

First, remove the shield/aft shell, then turn him over so you're looking at the top of the Shell. Remove the two screws in the photo.

Turn him over, and remove these two screws.

At this point, the front half of the shell should fall right off. Set it to the side, being careful not to knock the turret mechanism loose. Turn Snaptrap back over, and remove these three sets of screws:

Once these 6 screws are removed, the two body halves should come right apart.

Remove the head/head part, and set the rest off to the side with the other body parts.

There are two screws here which you need to remove, but don't be deceived -- removing those is not the end!

Those clever bastards at Hasbro added a ribbed pin that connects the two turtle head halves, located in the area marked in this photo:

You might be able to see some of it present when you get the screws out. This is about the only difficult part involved in this process -- you have to pull the two halves of the turtle head apart. If you can get them reasonably loose the robot head part may fall out, but otherwise you're going to need to tug on the head halves until they pop apart. It may be a little difficult, but they WILL come apart with enough patience, persistence, and excessive force. :ev:

...If you want to quit here, no one will blame you.
However, if you're a bad enough dude to force your Snaptrap's head apart, then you should be left with these parts:

Now, you want to take the Robot head, and use an x-acto, razor blade, box-cutter, or whatever chosen bladed instrument to round off the squared side of the head plug, roughly according to the pink lines in this photo:

After judicious cutting, you should end up with something shaped like this:

After you finish the trimming, reassemble the turtle bits in the order you disassembled them, with a test fit to make sure it turns, if you really must ruin the suspense.

After that whole "reverse the order of instructions" noise, you should end up with what you started with:

But now you should be able to turn the head either way.
...Just in case Superion is lurking around the corner.

Depending on your enthusiasm with the plastic trimming, you might be able to go 360ยบ for Linda Blair action!

And of course, now that the figure's head turns, so does the Piranacon head.

And like I said, this also works on God Neptune. Hope you found this guide informative!
