It's the gold chrome version, and I just want to spiff it up, give it a fancier paint job. Maybe make it a kind of hybrid between the FoC model and G1. I thought you could point me to some good resources/ideas of what would look good.

I want to do something with G1-styled FoC Grimlock, but I'm not sure. Any suggestions?

My hobbies have also fallen by the wayside as life's responsibilities have taken over. Have a love for music as well!- made 12th in state my sophomore year for flute and took up oboe, but band was such a time commitment I had to drop it. Plus it was just too competitive- wasn't a fan of the drama.

My other interests are particle work/compositing/video editing, which I found out by helping Grimlock with the TFP project. Could spend all day making dust poofs haha.

So Quad- what do you enjoy doing outside of Transformers and collecting helpful tutorials?

Is it okay if I run a recruitment drive for a Transformers fanfic project that's on a different forum?

It's somewhat dead and the folks over there gave me the okay to headhunt the Transformers fansites for potential writers.

Do you perhaps know anyone with the illustrator skills that could help with the rock texture? For the life of me I can't get it to work!

Creating the textures is a bitch though. It's good illustrator practise! I found out that some of the pieces in my set are fake/ copies. And I think I'm missing a small piece. Not sure though as I've yet to construct the base. Just imagine that later on you could print one Alternator size or Micromaster size!

I had not relized, guess that makes for my first offense.

Only very minor ones. I couldn't transform one of the feet, but I noticed an untrimmed sprue on the fragile crescent part, and once I cut that off, it worked fine. And I had to trim down one of the shoulder pieces following Alucard77's fixes thread before the arm would fold in. Other than these minor issues, one bicep swivel is a bit loose, the legs take a tremendous amount of force to collapse, and there are some minor scuffs, but none of this is any more major than I've had in other figures (including official MPs). Most importantly, he looks tremendous standing with the other MPs. :) How is yours - I think I read that yours was fine too?

I certainly agree that Beast Machines wasn't all that good. But for me it is special in a way as its the last series to have the characters I grew up with. I just wish it was a better series for a better send off with them.

I did like RID though, it was neat at that time to see Autobots. Plus it had the coolest Scourge of all.
