I saw you were wondering what Prime Cyberverse figures are out now in that first Legion wave. Just wanted to let you know Arcee and Vehicon are available in addition to the ones you saw. I've gotten them all (except Bumblebee) at Toys R Us in Cary.

The first edition Prime toys are an exclusive to TRU (and BBTS at one point had access to them). Apparently those have been canceled. They did show up in the UK, though.

The Prime figures will eventually see a release at all retail stores in different packaging under the heading "Robots in Disguise".

Speakin' bout RiD, i went to Acme Comics today and they had a bunch of it. Mostly RiD, Armada and BW, not a lot of G1, though.

They were $5 for seasons one and two separately. How many seasons were after those?

Petra? Oldskool, man  Stryper too.

You should check out Disciple. THERE'S a band.

Interesting. I think I recall reading somewhere that Masterforce was the first Transformers show in Russia.

I actually do have a pirated copy of the bad english dub somebody was selling at BotCon... I just haven't gotten a chance to watch through it all. I might try to pick up the box set with the original Japanese version with subs, though.

I have been watching a little RiD recently, and yes, RiD and Masterforce prove that not ALL Transformers anime is bad. Just most, lol.

It came like that... he was from a 2-pack with Aquaman. I guess it's supposed to simulate a rubber wetsuit. The black one is like that, too.

I also wouldn't try ripping his head off. Im pretty sure it's not removable.

I've always found it interesting to look for how theology is handled in things like this. "God Gambit" in Transformers is about the best example of how theology was handled in the TF universe. That's aside to the Primus and Unicron stories from the comics, though.

It's certainly important to look for how things are handled objectively rather than watching media and just assuming there's a Christian angle to it. As much as I like Star Trek: The Next Generation I know that Gene Roddenberry was an atheist, and so were many of the other story contributers. That's certainly not to say that we're unable to glean illustrations or analogies that can fit our faith, either, though :)

It seems that show/toyline really captured more of what the creator had in vision for He-Man originally. I really like the more sci-fi angle of it!

So I was at Target again yesterday to get a couple of groceries, and those 2 DVDs are definitely the full seasons one and two. I can't remember what's beyond season two and I haven't shopped for them either. I'll keep it on my radar. I certainly can't be into the toys so much, but I can watch TV :)

They were seasons one and two from the '80s. Yeah, it sounds like the best option is a boxed set.

Yeah, Acme Comics used to be a lot bigger and I remember it have a huge, awesome Transformers case years ago (that's where I got a lot of my older figures a long time ago, namely Ultra Magnus.) Sadly Comic Book stores are kinda dying, along with single issues. It's not really their fault... trades are cheaper, go on a book shelf, and to be honest, I'm not a big fan of decompression in comics and a HUGE universe changing crossover each and every year got me burnt out on them. It's hard to keep up with them. Plus... kids don't read comics... they play Call of Duty. (They don't get a lot of toys, either.)

If there's a flea market around here, I'm not aware of one. Then again, there's a lot of stuff I'm not aware of. :lol

I dunno if collecting vintage figures is cheaper than modern ones, though... maybe if you collect Sideshow or Hot Toys. :lol I DO think MOTU classics are pretty expensive, though. I was collecting some DC universe figures but eventually I just had to stop because they were $15 a pop. They're probably $20 now.

Yep! I just hate I hadn't gotten them to you sooner! I know you will be able to use them more than me.

BTW, how many seasons was the original He-Man cartoon? I saw seasons one and two on sale at Target for $4.75 each yesterday. I thought that it still may be cheaper to buy the complete series. You know how that can be!

Hey, just so you know, cromagnus =/= Larry Crowe from the Fairgrounds shop. He's a member on here, but I'm not sure what his handle is.

Totally cool haning out with you yesterday, and thanks again for the spares! I still have my small bag of spare 80s He-man figures for you. I just forgot to bring anything with me Saturday :(

Yeah, sadly Cosmic Castle is no more. The only store that has ANY vintage toys at all is Acme Comics, and it's more comic book store, less toy store... although they will have vintage toys sometimes. Mostly it's DC Direct figures and Marvel Legends.

There used to be this AWESOME toy store \ D&D roleplaying game store up near Elon when I went to college there, and the guys who worked there were super friendly and sold stuff for WICKED cheap ($25 Doubledealer, $30 BWII Galvatron, $20 Heinrad, and for the magnum opus, $15 complete Chromedome!!!) but sadly they went outta business. I did see the owner selling stuff at BotCon 2010 though and I have him friended on facebook. I really miss that store.

Unfortunately I don't really think there's any store in GSO that specializes in vintage toys, and if there is one, I don't know about it. There's a really cool video game store complete with arcade machines, though.

If I knew about a store like that, I'd be there all the time, as to be frank, there aren't a lot of toys on the shelves in retail stores that interest me much... if at all. Although if I hang out with you guys enough, it's probably inevitable that I'll get bitten by the Transformers Prime bug.

it's always helpful to have pictures in a sales thread. if you have a large number of items like you do, it gets quite obnoxious private messaging multiple pictures to multiple members.
