I used to use enamels, as I used to put together plastics models of ww2 era vehicles and airplanes. After using acrylic paints for customizing toys, man I had to give up enamels. I do have problems with using silver acrylic, seems like it needs multiple coats and doesn't shine as much as I want it to. I love your paint work, any tips for using silver acrylic?
I've never had issues with having to give figures anymore than one coat with the Tamiya paints i mentioned. In the past i've used other paints and had loads of issues with needing to keep adding coats. The last time i did it was when i painted the warhammer sized figures for the Fallout board game, the yellow of the vault hunter figures suit was really crappy coz i didn't have a good paint.
