To be serious and touch upon as to the "why", cutting past social effects between the relations of men and women and focusing as to why the art itself exists its just a case of desensitizing content. The more you're exposed to something the less taboo it gets.
So in the case of heavy sex-based content the more you see the less disturbing some of it becomes. There are a number of fetishes that are more extreme (many of which i'd never cross out of personal disturbance) and thus are the exception to this idea. However the act of just sexualizing a female, non-human character its become a norm for the internet and viewers.
