Probably been asked and reasked over the past dozen pages, but what are the odds the Armada/Energon/Cybertron sets come with the subs for Mini-Con Legend/Superlink/Galaxy Force? I know it'd take some video finnagling, but curious if the idea occurred to them at all. I really liked their Japanese Collection subs. If they do this, then I'm for sure getting all 3 of them. If they're english only then I'd only get Armada since that's the one I have nostalgia for.

    Also obligatory WOOO ANIMATED

I'll gladly rebuy Animated S1 and S2 to get a nice widescreen version of the series along with S3!

It wouldn't work real well for Energon/Superlink. Superlink used different animation and shots than Energon; for whatever reason Energon used unfinished and more raw cuts while Superlink used the final polished animation with finished VFX included. The episode where Galvatron/Megatron awakens the difference in the quality and the cuts in animation are a bit startling for example, while other episodes even change the shot sequences to fit their different narrations, including one example where there was no dialogue in Superlink, while Energon had this long rambling dialogue that really went no where.

I kinda wish Shout! would "restore" Energon so to speak using the Japanese footage.

Kinda like what Classic Media did with some of the Godzilla flicks they released a few years ago.

Hoping they do a BR release for all even if only Animated truly benefits. I'd still buy the Unicron trilogy even if only DVD releases as I skipped on the previous series releases.

Yeah that sucks. I have decent-quality recordings on DVD, but an official release would be preferable.

I think in some way Disney owns Robots in Disguise, so good luck getting an official release here in the US lol.

Awesome, been waiting for these series to come out for years. No more having to hunt down episode parts on youtube.

Probably gonna pick up the Armada set to finish off my Unicron Trilogy DVDs, might get the Animated ones if they're cheap enough... Now if only the DVD gods would give me a way to get GaoGaiGar and the first three Pokemon Movies I'd be very happy.

So has there been anymore word on these releases? I'm hoping for a Transformers Animated complete series set, just to have it out there and be done with it. Preferably on Blu-ray, but proper anamorphic widescreen would be welcome too.

Since we had this thread for all the UT, I didn't make a new one for Energon....

Here's the link regarding Energon...the complete series.

First time I've seen this on Amazon.com...they have it listed for $34.99 releasing May 6, 2014.

Amazon.com: Transformers Energon: Complete Series: Movies & TV

Of course, so many people hated Energon. :lol

You just have to buy a TF figure to ship with. :)

    Armada/Energon: Yay!
Animated: F*** off! The designs are stupid, I don't care how good the story is, lazy animation and designs ruins a show just as much as a bad story.

I hope they use the completed versions of Armada and Energon. And a redub wouldn't hurt either. Yay anyway, I'll be picking them up if the reviews are favorable.

The animation in Animated is actually pretty solid. I don't know where you get lazy from. The designs, while not my preference, are also solid. Any designer will tell you that removing all extraneous detail until you are left with the bare minimum that still allows the design to work and read clearly is not "lazy." It's the opposite. For many designers in many fields of design, it's the ultimate goal.

Not a style that appeals to you? Fine. But not lazy.

I like the designs cause they're simple and encourage kids to draw. Kind of like Powerpuff Girls did.
