The first half was so slow and dull. He coulda condensed the character setup quite a bit. The movie didn't really pick up til they got the money. Then it was just craziness.

Saw it while I was on vacation, and as I predicted, I was not disappointed.   Sure it was a little too crass (even for my tastes), but it's just bats**t insane. Is it a great film? I'm not sure. Is it a terrible film? I'm not sure. Was it boring? NOT AT ALL.

 

No time to watch it in theaters right now due to school and a full stack of movies coming out within the next few weeks sadly. Saw a part of the beginning online, though, and it's hilarious to see Mr. Monk struggle with weights.

 

Just got this on DVD and got the Digital/Blu Ray/DVD combo pack for $25
I never saw this advertised as being available on DVD now so I was kind of shocked. I've seen advertisements for Great Gatsby and Now you See me as being available soon on DVD but absolutely NOTHING on Pain and Gain.
So I notice something on the outside as I'm reading I don't see any special features. So I get home pop the Blu Ray (I also tried the regular DVD too) and there are NO special features! Not one! My options were Play, Scenes, and Settings and settings only had to do with languages and subtitles.
I'm sorry but that kind of pisses me off. Granted we aren't guaranteed special features or anything but pretty much every movie has them now when released on DVD. For the same price I could have gotten another movie with tons of special features.
For this movie I would have loved to see the preparation in terms of how the Rock and Marky mark pumped up and prepared for this role. Some insight on the true story this was based on maybe even interviews with the actual people this story effected. Hell maybe even a gag reel. SOMETHING!
But alas, there was nothing.
Does anyone else get pissed off when they discover there are no special features?

 

Watching it now. Holy fuck is this movie a piece of shit. And that's saying a lot cause I love some pretty awful movies.

 

This movie is magical, and this is The Rock's best performance so far. It also had me laughing for a whole week.

 

but no special features on the DVD just, sucks. Seems like they were being lazy with it.

 

I thought this is the worst movie in history ! Not good for Marks and Dwayne's rep.

Bay needs to stop the things he's doing because he sucks at it...in the beginning with Bad Boys, around that era, that was very good but now it's just sad.
