If I can wing it, I'll get both, but I like Make Toy's better since it's more comic accurate.

 

Having seen the battle tanker done (three times now ) i still prefer this over that any day of the week. I really like the vehicle mode hes got going too.

 

I will pay $ 200 for the classics size of this!

The armor changes almost every single part of him.
Different head, heads, feet, legs, arms, shoulders, chest, torso, and adds wings...

In fact, just about the only parts of this guy that DON'T change with the armor are his elbows and knees....

Have fun with Maketoys....  

 

They should come out with the base figure and sell different styles and colors of the armor

 

I'm sure if the Nova/Nemesis versions are successful they'll consider others. Shattered Glass, Magnus, heck an Optimus version would be fun especially if they alter the base figure to look like Pax and make the armor more prime-ish.

The important question is- will Nova come with a bunch of swords like he uses in Terminus's comic?!? Ideally the translucent wing bits would each hold a sword.

 

You mean the same swords he gave to Hex that Hex comes with? those swords?   The more magical ones he throws around in the comic are less weapons and more just energy projection.

As the renders show he's going to come with his somewhat more iconic Matrix blade. I'm sure he'll be able to hold Hex's swords just fine though so long as MMC puts the same slot in his palms.

 

If it was mp sized, that'd be great. Don't get me wrong, I don't think it belongs on mp, I just think armored up it would look better against hex. Anyway, regardless of size, I cannot pass up a figure that looks this good. Hopefully the final product comes out as good as the renders.

 

Yes, I meant the energy ones he threw around. Even Energon-esque clear plastic swords would be awesome. I'm not sure how I feel about his matrix blade, since I already have the Dr. Wu version. But the energy swords he projected was what made him a pure "want".

 

I like the look of this design and would definitely pick him up if the price is decent

looks to me like cybergeeks fail at basic counting. the point they have listed as 9" is actually 10" so it wouldn't be that big compared to maketoys'. don't get me wrong, i'm definitely getting mmc's version and prefer it, just pointing out that the picture posted here is wrong.

 

Generally speaking a figures height is determined by their head line primarily. Isn't 23 centimeters 9 inches? Seems their chart is just a bit screwy with the measurement spacing I guess.

 

8" = armored.

With that "armor station", I bet the truck mode will be huge.

 

Isn't the Matix-sword/Star Saber Prima's weapon in modern lore? I can't recall Nova/Nemesis wielding anything that resembled the sword in official IDW lore, so I can't really see how it's an iconic weapon for him.

but they have maketoys' at almost 7" which it is right? so then that would mean they labeled mmc's version too tall because it goes 7", 8", 9", 10" (where they label it as 9" or 23cm, but it's not)

just realized they actually have the head over the "9 inch" mark at about 9.5 which according to their mislabeled chart would be 10.5
just pointing out that the figure WILL NOT be that big in comparison to the maketoys version and that that scale pic is f'd up.
note: it's as easy as counting lines, starting from the first from the bottom as 1" and on up
