Yeah, but you could try the BBTS route. If they have the figures for sale it'll cost you more, but at least with them you don't have to worry as much about the possibility of your CC being stolen.

Yeah, that's true. I guess I'll decide how bad I want it when it gets closer to release date.

agreed, ill probably keep him in alt mode cuz it looks great. Hope the final product matches the mockup. I really enjoy alt modes with writing on them.

So it's 100% confirmed that Ironfist doesn't get a new head? That really murders my interest in it. Roadbuster's head doesn't fly for the cute-as-a-button IDW Ironfist. Also I don't want two straight-redecos of each other in the Wreckers.

I think I'm just going after Chromedome. I'm not interested in a new character from tank-Rumble, cause the piledrivers make that one character and folding them away kind of makes the arms rubbish. Is anyone grooving on the non-Domey stuff who wants to make a deal, or am I just middlemanning from BBTS?

Not surprised, but I do find it to be funny. I love when someone complains about a toy "not looking __insert_name__ enough" since the franchise is ALL ABOUT change! Especially since barricade was such an obscure, personality-lacking character compared to others. I can understand it somewhat when one complains about Starscream or Megatron... They have established personalities and physical traits that seldom stray far.

Barricade had one mode in G1 and the movies, and that's it (unless you count the Bruticus reprint in Energon). There was basically nothing establishing the character. G1 toy had no time in the cartoon, and movie barricade showed no character other than a "movie monster".

Anyway, I find the toy cute, like TF: animated's Swindle.

To me, while the Smokey mold doesn't look exactly like the Barricade art, it looks the closest in terms of broad strokes and useful detail than pretty much any other Prime-styled toy. I think maybe a creatively-painted Smokescreen head might have worked better than the Prowl one though.

Well It's a Decepticon Car so that's all good it enables me to strengthen my Decepticon Ground Forces and provide the eradicon-vehicons with an on-mission general.

I realise it's based on the art but the Movie barricade has black wheels so it's kind of ironic that Smokescreen's wheels were unpainted and should have been and Barricade's are painted and perhaps should not have been.

Overall he's perfectly fine... nothing as amusing, useful or exciting as Ultra Mammoth or Slipstream or Scourge yet though.

But I can see the fun off adding him in with Wildrider, Silas Breakdown, Frenzy, Rumble and Dead End (Also perhaps Dark Energon Knockout repurposed as WASP) to make a little team.

I don't like the Prowl head with this color scheme. I wonder if this would have looked better with the smokescreen head.

G1 isn't the end all and be all of TFs (and this is coming from someone who grew up watching and loving the original 80's Sunbow cartoon show; even then I wasn't too familiar at all with G1 Barricade's design or character until I Googled him).

Bay is a lot of things but with Barricade his design appeals to a lot of folks, myself included. Let people enjoy it. Why mock them for it? People will have different tastes, and will like and dislike different things. I for one love Barricade's Bayverse and Aligned Continuity designs, and critiquing his lack of personality (blame the writers for that, not the fandom) doesn't make me like him less.

Anyway, these being toys, they can be enjoyed on their own merit without even associating them with characters from established media (ie. folks/kids who've never watched the movies or played the games can still like and play with the toys).

I like the look of this figure. It's not accurate but I like it. With a little modding, the Smokescreen/Prowl mold can be a fun (if fiddly) figure.

I think I'm gonna set Barricade with my Vehicons, and he can be the vehicon general. Which means now I need an extra FE Vehicon, since he'll no longer be leading.

Man...I want this so bad to go with the my other Smokescreen mold customized figures (Crosswise, S2 Smokes, and S3...will be snagging Prowl as soon as I lay eyes on him)

Unfortunately I'm not part of the club, so if anyone's looking to offload Barricade, let me know :)

Three different and completely seperate Transformers named Barricade.

G1 Barricade was released in 1990, the cartoon ended in 1987 for America. G1 Barricade's time to shine was surprisingly during Dreamwave's Micromaster series. He was one of the deepest characters in that series.

Victims of the Revolution - Transformers Wiki

This new Barricade toy is from the Aligned continuity. The fourth Barricade. This toy should ensure this particular Barricade some more characterisation and prominence in Club fiction.

I think this one is a home run. Great homage to the TF Universe version. The only thing that is a bit off is the head, I wish it was a little more movie like. But I will be happy to add this one to the collection.

Haha, we have the same OCD tendencies. I'd do the same thing, get a second FE Vehicon so they're a pair. :)

How much is it to get the subscription figure package after joining the club?
