There is a Masterpiece movie barricade... It's called Human Alliance. Those are basically Masterpiece level movie figures... That being said, Barricade is a sporty muscle car, not a hatchback with delusions of grandeur.

 

So is this the free figure if you sign up?

 

Love it. I'm glad they used this instead of the Vehicon mold... even though that is indistputably the better mold, we already have it in black and purple. And this one works much better in vehicle mode. Actually, the vehicle mode looks so good that I'm gonna be loathe to display him in robot mode, I think.

 

I know everyone hates the rubber Beast Hunter armor, but it'd sort of work as a homage to the hood weapons dropped from Barricade in the first movie. It's probably not likely, but it'd be a cool extra if they included it.

 

Man, that vehicle mode is gorgeous. Then again that deco is what makes it. I'd buy a golf cart TF if it had that deco. However Barricade alone doesn't make me wanna spend all that cash.

Guess I should be relieved since its not like I'm looking forward to their ridiculous price gouging for the few figures that are presentable anyway. And right now they're 0 for 4.

Keep the unimpressive PRIME repaints coming and release the real Generations figures through retail please...thank you.

I'm going to guess though, that the bonus isn't going to use one of the two remaining new heads. Yet people at Botcon said Ironfist uses the Roadbuster head. So really, that only leaves the two we don't know or the bonus.

Too bad Barricade didn't get it, but it still works.

 

I'm kind of underwhelmed. Barricade is one of those designs that was too cool to appear in any real fiction or get a toy. The fact he shares the same mold as Prowl is kind of lazy. I wish they used the Vehicon or Knockout mold instead.

 

I'm glad a lot of people like this, but I sure don't. It's just... Totally unnecessary for my collection. I have never once thought, "Oh, you know what needs an update? Barricade!"

So far I'm 2/4, and both of those are "meh - take it or leave it". :-/

I might still acquire this... But it will be on the off chance that the bonus figure is something I want, and I'll most likely be flipping more of the toys than I'm keeping. So... Good news for people who like these? ^_^()

 

I want this. The head doesn't really work, but it will do until I can figure something out. I just want a non-movie Barricade

 

I think it's a strong possibility the bonus figure will include a re-use of one of the new heads. For instance if we do indeed get Rewind out of United Rumble/Frenzy the bonus will end up being Eject using the new head mold.

 

Well... When the club says "3 new heads" they don't mean duplicates. They didn't count Breakdown as a new head for 1.0. That said, I would be surprised if the bonus one isn't a reuse of another mold. I'm still hoping for Waspinator from MW Skywarp or Hubcap.
