I thought there was an actual Swindle figure but this looks like 2 tanks for his legs.. I may have to pass on the limbs and just get the main bodys for my collection unless the others look better then this one..

 

Each limb can be built two ways if I remember. Like vortex and blast off share the same mold you just assemble them different.

 

Wow, I never noticed that before. Looking at pics of all of the limb pieces, it seems as though you're right- they all use the exact same pieces, just assembled differently.

I applaud the designers for coming up with something so clever for their no-doubt limited budget.

 

Heh Swindle's in his G2 colours. Though could they have tried to make him yellow at least?

 

I actually kinda like it. He looks cute.

 

If you look at pictures, the limb characters share color palettes (probably due to being gang-molded), do that would have resulted in one of the Stunticons and one of the Aeiralbots being yellow. (Granted, the yellow would have worked well for Dragstrip...)

 

Im not liking the limbs very much.. I mean you look at Defensor Below from a few waves back, he blows this one out of the water because he has actual G1 style limbs and not limbs that kinda look G1. Kabaya is one of the lines I collect and this one is just a let down compared to the awesomeness they have released in the past..

I really wish they would have spread the combiners out over 3 waves and then released proper limbs for each like they did for defensor instead of these swapping parts limbs.. If you want all 3 combiners complete it looks like you will have to buy almost 2 cases of limbs just so you can get enough parts to make each limb for each different torso.

 

Yeah, I was excited when they first announced these new combiners (Menasor, Superion, and Bruticus) but they're so much worse than Defensor that I'm not even bothering with them.

Cute. I may get it, since it's the Combaticons (my favorite combiner group). However, I have the original 1980s set of the Kabaya Combaticons, so that will always be my favorite. The 80's version also had funky colors. Swindle was red and white then, too, as was Blast Off, since they came together.

 

I used to love getting these when I was a kid, a small store in china town San francisco had them and I visited them every summer

I like what they've done with these, I'd get them if I had any hope of assembling them to my satisfaction.

 

Sort of a weird hodgepodge of Ruination and Battle Gaia. That reminds me I need to get so many of the previous one like Rodimus. I think the quality on these isn't as good as the kits they made during Superlink those were much better. I even prefer the CarRobots ones. Perhaps the best bet is to hope people keep churning out KO's of the 80's kits as they were far superior in most cases.
