I suspected something similar at my local TRU with MP OP. They got in two shipments that I knew about and each time they immediately sold out. Seemed like the work of a scalper.

 

Is this TRU's normal policy? I called Bailey's Crossroads TRU and they said if they get MP Soundwave in they can only hold it for 45 minutes for me. I'd never heard of that before.

 

I think individual stores are doing their own things to try to spread the MPs around.

 

Really would be nice if they got more than two at a time at least.

Ah well, I have Metroplex. That'll keep me for a while.

 

Just an FYI, I got MP Soundwave from the Fair Lakes TRU today. I was in there at opening. They only got one case in, I got one and someone else got the other one on hold over the phone. When the clerk was conversing over their intercom system, I overheard the manager saying that they don't even bother putting them on the shelves because they sell so fast. If your in a TRU looking for him, make sure you ask the service desk about it.

Edit: While the clerk was waiting on the manager to get back to her, she looked up some other stores to check availibity. Manassas got a case in, but if you weren't on the phone or in the store at opening they're probably already gone. It looked like a few other stores got a case in today ( I didn't ask, but I could see the computer screen ). It wouldn't by a bad idea to call around just in case.

 

got MP Soundwave at Manassas today at like 1045am, they got 1 case in, someone was there at 10am when it opened and got the first one. i called at 1030 and asked them to hold it but they said first come first serve, luckily i was on my way to manassas anyways for an errand.

 

Why are they being so damn cautious about MP Soundwave's distribution? Are they afraid he would shelfwarm like Thundercracker did? Tcracker eventually sold out though. And Prime as well was very limited. I personally never saw him in stores.

Watch, they will probably overproduce Acid Storm and it will sit around for months - making them overcautious about the NEXT MP, whatever that may be.

The fucked up thing is, the Sterling TRU has boxes and boxes of Prime masks, Optimus Maximus and Supreme Optimus, all gathering dust.

 

i snagged a generations roadbuster & whirl at walmant[br.va.],also had a voy magnus & grimm there as well.+ i lucked up on an IDW trailcutter & megatron at Kmart{br.va]..they had 1 of each left...plus they had a couple generations soundwave,plus the big prize at kmart[which i couldnt get,price to high in my opinion] was the beast hunter optimus prime,they had 3 of him,..& he does look awesome in box...i pressed his actions lever & the much he lighted up was a minus in my book,maybe if it was 30 instead of 60,would be a buy for me...

 

KMart eh? What was the price for the IDW deluxes? Don't they usually hike up the prices there?

 

Has anyone even seen Acid Storm in VA yet? if so which stores has HAD them. I'm just curious because both TRU's by me state they haven't seen ANY yet.

 

I was in Manassas TRU this morning (looking for the "Ultimate" Joe wave) and they confirmed they havn't gotten Acid Storm at all yet, though they've gotten Soundwave in at least twice. They checked the computer and said he's not even made it to the warehouse yet, so who knows...

 

I found the BB and Megatron at Kmart today. $12.99 each.

 

Huh. I guess it's time to hit up my local KMart that never has anything.  

 

The secret has gotten out has it? I found the entire wave of IDW Comic stuff this past Sunday at the Herndon k-mart. Bought up a few extras if anyone is interested.

I grabbed up a trail cutter and megatron from that store. I think they had one weird looking orion pax left.

Yup, I was right. Springfield KMart has jack shit.

 

KMart Annandale has two IDW BB, one IDW OP and one IDW Megs. I took a Megs, OP and the lone Trailbreaker.
