At the end of the day, is Diesel > Terminus Hexatron. And I think we can safely say that the answer is no (even in alt mode)? If yes, then I retract my statement.

And no I wasn't saying that figures should be priced based on the amount of plastic used. In that case Diesel would be worth 10 dollar tops, possibly even less. And Hexatron should be 20 bucks or perhaps the same as Diesel. Figures should definitely be judged on many factors i.e. fun, etc, and so far I like the last two but I am less impressed with the first two figures (a pretty common opinion I think). So all I am saying is that after factoring size differences, Diesel had better be as impressive as Hexatron at that price point.

 

Poor Car Crash and T-bone it really seems no really likes them when really T-bone is my favorite of the group so far ha ha ha

What? No honorable mention for Transbot90210? He only gave us our first pics of everything to do with this set, the names M3 and Intimidator as well as the prices before the price hike and reason for the price hike 

You gotta make a stand at some point. Once everyone knows you're willing to pay a more...you're going to be paying more every time 

I want to see a bit more than that.

I want to see all accessories (Diesel and Intimidator's), more pictures (from angles we haven't already seen), especially group shots, measurements--how tall is this guy?! What are the overall dimensions?! And yes, a full color reveal as well as price.

 

Car Crash is my fave. If T-Bone had been painted in Dead End colours and Last Chance in Wild Rider colours it would have been a tough choice. Has anyone PS'd that? Might be a future project.....along with a more cream Car Crash  

 

Finally got my hands on Last Chance!

 

I can not wait to get mine. I shipped my Pile of loot Friday from BBTS and still wait for the tracking to start. Looking forward to more finished pictures of Diesel.

Scamble city modes:



Transformation engineering explanation:

Downforce: 2 chest plugs and 2 hip clips - used for arm mode
Lastchance: 2 chest plugs, circular port and hip clips - used for arm mode
Carcrash: lifting chest panel exposes 2 chest plugs and circular port, no hip clips but waist extension allows the clippers to have somewhere to sit - non of which is used for shin mode, ergo - for arm mode only
Tbone: exact same engineering feature as CC - again, used only for an arm mode

CC and TB both have the ability to leave their legs extended and then plugged together in a way not used for shin or car mode - this feature is for arm mode only

DF - has two peg holes (the ones with silver around them) and a hexport that is not used to maintain friction in arm mode, these are for shin mode

LC - has two peg holes above his arm mode peg holes and a hexport not used to maintain friction in arm mode, these are for shin mode

So if they are not scramble city, FansProject have literally made 4 figures where a good 30% or more of their structural and design engineering is absolutely useless. Me thinks they are scramble city.

I think it would probably be a bit more accurate to discuss Diesel's price using the full $ figure rather than the set reduced price.

Each car was increased by $10 to offset, so truly he's a $160 figure and everyone who's invested in the set has already paid for 25% of Diesel as a down payment.

Looking at it objectively, I can say that $120 does probably seem fair for Diesel....$160 definitely does not.

It seems more like they conveniently forgot about why they increased the cars' prices since they already got everyone hooked in.

I think NECIO did it...I've thought about repainting them all (IF Diesels price doesn't make me get rid of them)...just a super gloss on the car shell panels to look more like real car paint jobs...BUT, with the tight tolerances when transforming has me rethinking that...you'd be scratching your paint job up all the time...

 

I have to say I thought that this digibash was excellent when it first appeared but I hadn't realised that the creator did work on DF and CC too... Excellent piece of work and a real shame that FP didn't go with this in the first place. Although, I think CC and TB make for better shin bots so maybe that was the overriding point in FP final decision.

 

It's already been confirmed that they're scramble city...unless we're still calling 'Fappy insiders' bullshitters.
