If they use the name Rodimus, do you think they'll explain where it came from? I mean, it's not exactly as if the average moviegoer understands what a "Rodimus" is... Still, better than "Dino"!
I didn't like RODIMUS in the damn cartoon, so this just finishes it for me and officially done with the bay movies now. Its a shame too I liked the first ones well the third one could have been different
... so even if he is the most awesomest bad-ass Transformer in any of the movies you wont watch it because he shares the same name as the G1 character, even if he has a different personality? THAT is where you draw the line??? oh boy
okay tell me something why is it whenever someone gives an opinion that someone doesn't agree with it gets deleted, this site is impossible what kind of site the second someone states an opinion it gets deleted?
This is exactly what I am talking about someone shares an opinion on how they feel and someone makes some stupid remark about it. I grew up with the show you have a problem with that? This site is what about TRANSFORMERS to share in the love of it but yet most of the people on here the second someone says they like or do not like something get their butts in a pinch when someone expresses something about a character or whatever.
Yeah, I understand why they use it instead of Hot Rod, but for me it never really makes sense without the Prime suffix (and even then Hot Rod Prime might've sounded a lot better). I still don't understand why some names that Hasbro can't register as they are are able to be registered with the Autobot or Decepticon prefixes but others aren't, because Autobot Hot Rod would at least get around the problem for the toy marketing. Unless of course they go with Hot Shot instead...

Exactly, it's very unlikely they'd replace Optimus and even more unlikely Rodimus would be a pre-existing Prime. Of course we could all be way off if it could be Windcharger, given the meaning of Huyara...
lord have mercy... I was just asking a question. I was curious to know that out of all of the valid reasons that could cause someone to throw in the towel on the movieverse franchise, it would be due to a particular name that could "possibly" be shared with movie character. It just seems a bit drastic for that reason alone. I'm not the least bit butt hurt about your opinion. Do you even high strung?
Knowing Bay and how the other Primes (aside from Optimus) are depicted. Rodimus is going to be a villain much like The Fallen and Sentinel. Ya know because the of the rule you can't have any other Prime being the good guy than Optimus.
