You really think they will be lucky to sell 50? LOL Get real this is the fandom that spends $170 for a premium repainted leader class movie Brawl, double the price of the US metroplex just for one with some chrome, or that grand patriot figure. Im not trying to claim this is the next big thing, but to think worldwide it will be lucky to sell 50 units is laughable.

Still im sure more than 50 people bought that thing which is my point. People tend to think that the only people who buy these figures are right here on this one website so if some people on here dont like it then it sucks and no one will buy it.

Its because the market is flooded with releases, too many amazing 3p and hasbro releases people for once are really having to pick and choose.

 

I may get the magnus armor. Still trying to decide.

 

There is an upgrade to the Bruticus being made by Echotransformer, there is even a thread letting people vote on which color scheme they want it released in first (Go vote for Fruiticus please!)

 

True that. I made a post about this on Cybertron.ca; for the first time since I've started collecting, I have to decide what I really want and skip tons of releases. I used to get pretty much everything from 3rd parties but I realized that A) There are now too many of them B) I can't afford them all anymore B) I don't want them all anymore. I only really care for certain characters or types of toys. This one was one I cared for. I had no problem spending $140+ on it because A) I thought it was worth this much B) I knew I was not going to spend that money on iGear Minibots, TW Headmasters, Dr. Wu accessories and stuff like that.

 

I would say that you hopes will be met sooner rather than later.

 

I like where they are going with this, but to be honest there are a ton of Primes out there to be had. I was at TRU today with my son and there had to be 5 versions of Prime from Mechtech to FOC and then there was a TRU exclusive 18" as well. My point is although this armor set is really cool I am having a hard time jumping on this since there are so many others out there.

 

I have to be honest I was somewhat on the fence about this upgrade for ultra magnus but now that I read they're scrapping the trailer then what exactly is it that they are selling us? An upgrade set that only enhances the robot mode? What happens when I want my UM in vehicle mode? Kibble everywhere? It doesn't make sense. Maybe if it goes on clearance in the future I MIGHT pick it up.

 

So I just got hasbros Orion pax today. What I think would be really cool is if transformazing could take their designing skills and develop a trailer for hasbros Orion pax deluxe that when combined turns him into a voyager Optimus prime. Now that would be cool.

We don't know what they're doing/have done with the armor regarding alt mode yet.

Best case scenario the bits now plug together to form a small trailer-esc thing FoC Magnus can cart around behind him but more likely they've just left them as is and they'll have no function outside just being armor parts. Unless they do release the trailer as well down the line. I'm hoping they do but they've done the smart thing and decided to re-design it some, shrinking it down would be a good place to start.

 

POed...will figure this out in coming month.

 

I guess we'll just have to wait and see for the release and see what exactly is it, besides an aesthetic upgrade to the robot mode and what is the alternate mode. Does it plug together into a trailer or maybe some sort of truck bed cover?

Severely unlikely. Consider that there's no wheels on their armor, and the armor bits are almost as big, if not bigger, than the FOC figure they combine with. I somehow managed they found a way to make a trailer that big which fits entirely on FOC Optimus/Magnus' rear section without a set of wheels.

 

Actually, the legs originally formed the front wheels of the trailer, so they do actually have wheels.

 

Right, forgot the wheel folded into the foot.

Still thinking it's unlikely they combine into anything since the armor shows no sign of major retooling though.
