I'd still go with soundwave. He's only marginally weaker, but has more HP and much more defense.

 

I think HP and defense is not that important in the soldier's position as it is in the commander's position since as long as all the commanders are still alive, the attack of the bosses is potentially still divided into 3 groups.

 

But if you have raiders, their defense is often not scale to their attack. So you want high defense soldiers under them to hold the line.

Also, high defense equals more turns equals more opportunities for Crits. Episode Silverstreak is great for this.

 

I ranked in at 90!!!! That was close, I was at work tonight. Ended up with 5 fully Evo'd SW's. I only purchased the first one. I've been saving and saving my cubes up and finally went crazy on this event, lucky that it was a new type. I'm beat, that was a lot of nights getting up in the middle of the night to keep my rank up. I wish I had that Blaster too.

 

So I happen to tap on the 'Episode Space Bridge' (non-guarantee tiers) and I noticed that a few of Rares (ex. Ultra Magus) and Super Rares (non episode Jetfire) had the Evo counter on them (These were on the scrolling cards right before you buy a tier).

Anyone know what this is about? Is Mobage changing up existing cards? Should I start holding on to those Rare cards?

Wow, you really lucked out on the sound waves. I finished in the 40s and I had four fully evod sound waves. I had to buy three of them. Only one was earned through (4 successful) nets.

I still need the rewards for Tier 1 and 2 and their weapons.

Does this mean the cards in our inventory will update also or will the Evo cards be a different set?

Since the commander has a 50% stat advantage relative to soldiers, it'd be relatively quite difficult for the commander to die before the soldier. Most of the time, the opportunity cost between damage and health/defense do not come close to 50%. In other words, whichever card that deserves to take up a commander's position, regardless of whether the card's emphasis is on damage or survival, the 50% stat bonus relative to the soldiers will almost guarantee that commander's health and defense is higher than the soldiers.

 

Well done everyone; that was an endurance event if ever there was one.

Finished 334 with a nice enough stash of 958 nets, 1283 E/C's and 193 B/C's remaining. Possibly could've pushed higher, but I had other things to do like cleaning my ears. Which ultimately ended up being more interesting and a lot more satisfying

 

I think you can, but I'd say getting struck by lightning is more likely.

...okay. So now were those level three SW rewards we all foddered evo cards...

 

Yay 3rd consecutive 2nd tier for me. Completed 2 evo SWs. BCs more or less unchanged before and after the event. Consumed 200+ ECs and collected 400+ ENs. And my Android app project is behind schedule by 4 days  

 

You guys noticed? Mobage didn't even bother updating their blog. No episode completion update, no shoutout to the 1st ranker, no nothing. It's like they don't even care anymore.
