I;ve found that most TRU employees @ Pearlridge anyway, dont know shit most of the time. Or they put stuff on the side when need be. It depends who you are talking to. I've bought some stuff on clearance there and when the girl rang me up she tripped out on the price and then proceeded to go and grab the last one of the items left and stash it for herself to buy later. So who knows what happens with the Transformers and other lines when they got high end/hot items. I see the same guy(s) there when the store first opens and they raid each row for the goods. They hit Transformers, Star Wars, WWE, Hot Wheels, etc.

Windward Mall TRU express had some TP RID voyagers, a couple of Ultra Magnus, Skyquakes, Thundertrons, and an OP. Walked into TRU PC and saw RID deluxe Vehicon and a Bumblebee. No MP Soundwave on the shelves. KMart Waikele had the BH deluxe assortment with Starscream, Bulkhead, Smokescreen, and Ripclaw.

Windward TRU Express is pretty awesome most of the time. Although they don't stock exclusives they're usually better stocked on regular stuff, plus sometimes they're a bit cheaper too. It's just too bad it's such an out of the way journey (well, for me anyway). As for Pearls, like I've said a few times already, I've just about given up on them. It's just not worthwhile to shop there anymore, despite having an "insider" who's more than willing to go the extra mile for me, whether it be for myself or my son or to help out other forum members. Their sales and coupons are a joke thanks to their ludicrously high prices, and their inventory and stocking habits are an even bigger joke. And it's funny how they all constantly claim they're sick and tired of the overblown sense of entitlement and various other temper tantrum-like bullshit they supposedly go through with the doofuses (or is it doofusi?) that raid their shelves practically every morning, yet they continue to cater to their every whim. Fuck it, whatever.

Looks just like Dreadwing, except green in color.

Hey jbz, sorry for the ignorant answer. I'm extremely new to this, but I know now why you posed the question.

Took my kids to play in the play area near Koolau Pets, and decided to check out TRU express while I was at Windward Mall. TRU PC was on the way home, so decided to stop there as well. I cannot agree with you more regarding TRU. Back when I was hardcore into Hot Wheels, I used to frequent there every other morning or so to watch adults act a fool in the diecast aisle--especially when there are bins of Hot Wheels. I was not into action figures back then, but I did see a lot of the folks who ran straight for the diecast aisle as soon as the doors opened, end up patrolling the action figure aisle afterwards. While I was part of the "morning rush" I never got into the running, pushing, yelling, and sometimes fighting that occurred during the 40-yard dashes to the back aisles. Instead, I was more like the custodian who would clean up the Hot Wheels on the ground and shelves and hang the cars back on the pegs. A few times I would get lucky and score a few sought after cars, but it was never consistent there. Recently, my son started watching TF Prime on Netflix and the Beast Hunters episodes on Hub, and as a result started getting into the toys. While most of his current figures have come from used, eBay lots, we have found some success with Kmart and Target. As with my Hot Wheels history, TRU has not been too good for us--most of the time we leave empty handed. I was expecting to catch some figures with last week's buy one get one 50% promo, but only saw a lot of empty pegs when I did manage to go in several days after work. I did see full pegs of FOC data disks and several BH Ultimate OP, but no deluxe or voyager figures. I thought it was funny that the week after the promo, we see RID Bumblebee and Vehicon.

Damn there was Skyquakes?! I never did see him in any stores here on the island.

I went to Kapolei Target today and picked up the only other 2 Predicons that will be in Predicons Rising, Darksteel and Skylynx. Don't know why they are target exclusive figures.
There was 1 Ultimate Predaking left, I'll get him next time.

Man, my last trip to Kona I found all types of transformers. The Wal-mart there was loaded up with Generations stuff that I never saw on Oahu. Even the Ross had good stuff. Who knew you guys got it so good :)

so the TRU in-stock checker showed an Acid Storm @ Aiea TRU yesterday morning. I bought it, got the confirmation email and just needed to wait for the "come pick it up" email. 2 hours later when TRU opens (coincidentally or not) I get another email saying my in-store pick up had been cancelled. Fail. So I'm trying to decide if I think TRU's in stock inventory checker was wrong or if someone who works for TRU decided to keep the Acid Storm for themselves or for someone they were holding it for and then cancelled mine.

    Regardless it's bullshit :)

Some dumbass probably sold it without first checking with the person who handles store pickup orders. Happened to me once, with Nerf darts of all things.

Sunday night I was able to check out with a Soundwave with the store pick up option. And yup, they cancelled my order Monday morning after I got off the phone verifying if its in stock, they told me it was already sold out. I was lucky to get Acid Storm shipped to me a few days ago.

Nice SW darkknight! Did they have more?

Kmart Iwilei had a couple 30th Springers, and Kmart Waikele had a Beast Hunters OP and Predaking voyagers.

Thanks! I was told only 5 came in and none were left.

That BH OP and PK was my return yesterday, I found them cheaper at Target.

    Ebay:
Sup Hawaii peeps, the Masterpiece Soundwave just sparked my interest back into Transformers. Gave me flashbacks when I was a kid back in the 80's. I just signed up on this forum in search of the toy. Just wanted to say wassup from Maui and to all you guys in Oahu, you guys lucky you guys get TRU and all the shopping grounds, all we get is one TRU Express and it sucks a$$. Not sure where to start collecting Transformer toys and if I like start. I have a collection of Macross but I stay selling that off now. I know I like get one Masterpiece Soundwave and going between the Hasbro or Takara (pre-order a re-issue) but I scared that its going to be a start of another nightmare....

Thanks bro! But I gotta slow down on the TF since I also collect Hot Toys, and Hulk is coming in real soon lol

Welcome bro! I was also a long time lurker, as for MP Soundwave there is a rumor that there will be a big batch on their site for sale this month, either the 16 or 17, but just check everyday.

Just buy what you are interested in. I'm a G1 guy but also got into TFP/Beast Hunters. Heck I'm also into the generations, video game figures, movies so ya its a nightmare lol. I'm real huge into Hot Toys 1/6 scale figures too. But good luck on whatever you decide.

If anyone is looking for Voyagers Beast Hunters, PC Walmart had Voyagers Megatron, OP, Grimwing and UM.
