I'm pretty sure it's already been posted. If you don't know, the TRU item # for Soundwave is 204083.

I talked with a local this morning. They didn't have him. The rep I talked with checked 2 other stores and they didn't have him.

TRU has the most annoying hold music.

 

Why don't you just buy one online? It's cheaper and you don't have to deal with going to the store. haha

 

If he was available online I know I would, but he only lasts about 5 mins before he sells out. The Store to pickup button only works if your toys r us actually has any.

 

The Ship-to-Home option is now available for Soundwave even thought it's out of stock online. Just enter your zip code to check local availability.

 

Oh I see. That's weird.

 

Our distribution center hasn't even received a first shipment of either Masterpiece.

No store in MD, VA, or SE PA has seen a single Soundwave or AS to date, unfortunately.

Also the in-stock online notice only works if an item has been in stock for more than five minutes. IF he really has been up for two hours (I set up a notification email this morning) and I never got notice well then...that stinks.

I thought about just going to a Toys R Us store and purchase it from another store that has one in stock (even its in California) and have them ship it to my house for free. I just don't know if my TRU will do it since the customer service lady told me that is only available in online.

 

^ I don't know if you could do that or not. I've checked around the Charlotte area and Greenville area. He wasn't there.

 

Another member From Ohio purchased one from a New York store and got it shipped to his house for free since it was over $79.

 

How?

 

  I don't forsee this causing any problems at all.

So what if you reserve one and some teenager at the store just sells your copy? or can scalpers reserve 5 and your stock is already gone?

 

Apparently its service they offer in store. If, the store is sold out, they are suppose to check to see if you can buy it online. If it is sold out online, they are suppose to see if they can order it from another store. I never tried it and I don't know if it's every store or only certain ones.

I tried looking up Soundwave online and seeing if any stores in my area had himand one did. I picked him up from a TRU in White Plains, NY this afternoon, so it really works.

 

So, how exactly does the stock locator work? I called up the closest TRU to me, fifty miles away, and they said they may get some on Wednesday, but aren't sure. When are the stocks updated? Because if they sell as soon as the store opens on Wednesday and the things sell out, they may not have a chance to be ordered for store pickup. I don't really love the idea of driving fifty miles just to *possibly* find a Soundwave, but their website is freaking ridiculous.

 

Not sure "how it works" but the Boston area had about 3 stores with stock before the store opened. I noticed around 11am, those stores were sold out. Not sure if someone claimed them or if someone in the store bought them.

 

1. Go to store locator option (3rd one down)
2. Type in 10535 (and select 50 miles <-- greatest distance option)
3. Stores #1, #43, #60 still have them
4. Add to cart, option to have shipped to you should appear during process

Ah, sorry. The shipping option isn't working for any of those three.

I did pick the White Plains one too, while it was still available, I must have just gotten lucky.
