If you're dealing with the type of rabid TFA fan that thinks it's the best thing in the world, you can't reason with them anyways. Same goes for the truly rabid fans of every series. :(  And TFW is really the only place so far I've seen lots of people with that attitude a/b TFA. Most other places I visit are a bit less....black and white than TFW can be. :)

Wouldn't it be great if Transformer fans could just be Transformer fans? We all love the same characters and basic idea. I don't understand why it bothers people so much when somebody likes a different version of the same character. Oh well.

Edit: So...am I understanding this right? Hasbro appears to be betting they can make decent profits for 2 years solely off the toys from TF4?

To be honest, I really enjoyed Rescue Bots. The story was fine, the characters were wonderful, and there was enough action that you didn't feel like you were watching a little kid's show.

Guys, just because there might not be anything to fill in Prime's spot until TF4 comes out, it doesn't mean there won't be any new transformers toys. The info I got for rescue bots was a combination from blogs/interviews/tumbler of cast/crew you can find on the net and the hasbro guy I was chatting with at the hasbro booth at SDCC. He didn't know I was in the animation field, so any info I got from him, could be completely different from stuff coming out of Hub.

As far as new transformers toys, remember that there are other projects besides animated ones. There are video games, comic books, possible webisodes and even evergreen products. Hasbro has been known to do this. Look at the recent Jurassic Park toys. Mattel does the same thing. They release toys Batman toys not related to any current media-tie in. There's Transformers Go! They'll probably bring those over and rebrand them as Hasbros and whatnot.

I very much doubt that Hasbro is expecting their TF4 line to carry them for the next two years. Especially not after their failure of a toy-line for Dark of the Moon. Prime is ending, but even that's got toys slated for next year, and for all we know that could continue on for at least a little while longer. There's also Generations, this Rescue Bots sequel, these Construcabot things (or whatever they're called), and most likely a sequel to Prime for them to keep a presence at retail.

Only thing I'm really curious to know, is whether or not this RB sequel was the show mentioned to be starting next fall.

Animated was a great show, didn't take itself too seriously, Prime is good, BW is great, aslong as its watchable unlike the Unicron Trilogy of Armada, Energon and Cybertron, I'll be happy.

2D is cool. For little ones. I might watch.
But if there is a series replacing Prime im hoping it will focus on other Autobots and Decepticons like Blaster, Cosmos, Jazz (I wanna see more of him), Barricade, Octane and Astrotrain.

I'm hoping for something along the lines of RiD again. I would love a show that utilizes new designs, but classic ones as well, so we see re-releases of good molds from the past. One thing I loved about RiD was that it featured G1, G2, Gobots, Machine Wars, Beast Wars and original molds, on the show and on the shelves. Now, realistically we aren't going to have a new show featuring G1 and G2 stuff, but I'd love to see a show which showcased some nice CHUG designs and a few decent designs from the past, and we have a big "Greatest Hits" toyline, along with new stuff. But that could be a huge longshot.
